Also, this weekend there was an brief issue using my meal plan. Manager came over and said I hadn't waited long enough and that I'd be able to use it again at 6:23pm. Knowing that I had not used it at all yet, I asked them when I last used it... They said 3:23pm... It was currently 3:24pm so obviously they had scanned my pass on that transaction. Ultimately it all worked out and since there was no one else in line it was a good time for the cashier to learn... But it showed me that the system is actually set up to require a 3 hour wait (not 4 as I had previously assumed). Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

If you have 4 meal plans, you can get 8 slices of pizza, 8 breadsticks, and 4 sauces.. And at that point it's just easier to get a pizza box and throw the sticks inside with the pizza. Was there around 3, did Vortex front seat (5 minute wait) and beast (walk on) then grabbed a meal. Park was pretty empty. Longest wait on the board was 30 minutes Flight of Fear. Rain is coming down harder now though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Today I went to the park for a few hours with my kids. 2 are tall enough for Adventure Express, one is not... So usually we all wait in line and then me and the little guy walk across the track to the holding cell on the platform while the older 2 ride. The holding cell was nice because it allows me to be close and watch while not being in the way of the swinging exit gate. Noticed today that the holding cell is gone this year, so we had to wait past the exit [emoji53] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

It's not as bad if you pay attention... Which this poster is clearly going in aware and ready...There definitely needs to be more "do not enter signs" for those people who are just so excited they can't focus easily... But if your expecting a change and paying attention, I'm confident you can get in correctly without hitting any poles.

It's honestly not as bad as everyone is making it out, especially if you are anticipating a change and are paying attention.You'll get into the left turn lane as you pass GWL, then just make the turn slowly and really look at where the entrance is (don't just follow the person in front of you).

If your going to ruby Tuesday, just use the north exit.

I came from the south today (usually I come from the north) and noticed they had a handful of these signs trying to get people to not use the old southern area for the entrance. I still think they need giant signs on the exits that say "DO NOT ENTER" but signs clearly pointing to the entrance are a good start. They also had a few security cars in the lot near both exits... I'm hopeful they are turning cars around who do enter... Although I didn't see any perps and thus didn't see any confrontations. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Went after work today, met my family there... They had all the passes. I arrived before 4:00 and there was no one behind me so I tried for a few minutes without success to get the app to scan my pass and open the gate. Eventually I touched the screen and manually entered the numbers from my pass... Gate opened. So that works, but I'll be moving my pass to my car so that each vehicle has a pass to use at the gate. After I was in the park I was waiting in line and decided I would update the Kings Island app (thinking, I can't complain about the new parking gate not accepting the app if I don't have the latest app). DO NOT UPDATE THE APP.. I don't know if the gate will work or not once updated (although the bar code and pass part of the app looks the same as before... So I assume no chance)... But ever since I updated, it says "I'm not in the park" despite showing my location as in the park, and being on the park Wi-Fi, and having scanned my pass from the app when I entered the park. And if you are not in the park, it won't show you ride times. As far as I can tell, there are no improvements to the app update, only the inability to see ride times. I've been using it.. Via the official Kings Island app. Used it last year too. I've had trouble using it at the new parking gate, although the attendant assured me that others have been using their phone with no issues. I like it because I can load my entire family into my app... As can my wife. So whenever we want to pop into the park, we can... Without needing to worry about what car our passes are in. Have more staffed registers. Or, during a busy time have 1 register with a clear sign that says "meal plans or credit card only"... Then you wouldn't need to have any cash in that drawer and you could get people through fast (without having to fumble with payment). Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
