July 20, 200719 yr http://www.orlandosentinel.com/orl-mteacup...0,2555633.story If the injuries are true, then it is a sad story. But something tells me that some of the accusations have been exaggerated. Medicine has helped control the seizures, but she said she relies on her husband and other family and friends to stay with her because of lingering memory and physical problems. Exactly what is "lingering memory"? Not to mention, a woman that was 5'11" and 230? WOAH! That woman could kick some serious a$$! EDIT: fixed link!
July 20, 200719 yr Browntggr: I believe that lingering is meant to apply to "memory and physical problems." Hence, it is claimed that memory and physical problems" have not gone away but are lingering along. (Sparing a long description of linguistics and what is the nominative and the objective!) The Interpreter, doing what he does
July 20, 200719 yr I have no doubt that this woman was injured, but it seems as though she is going after anyone she can. Blaming the ride operator for not reacting fast enough is a reach. Being in that position your first reaction is to see if you can try to stop it without physically being involved. Then if you can't you call security, there's not much else you can do until they get there. I used to tell the rides associates when I trained them, never to get physically involved in an incident like this, you can verbally tell them to stop but you need to let them duke it out until someone gets there. In this case sounds like Disney's staff responded quickly, although to the victim, the response time is always too slow.
July 20, 200719 yr That's sad! All that fighting and cursing over line jumping I always tell the nearest KI employee I can find if I spot a line jumper I was gonna ask what lingering memory is but Interpreter already anwsered that question for me...I gotta go with Browntggrr I think some of those accusations are exaggerated.
July 20, 200719 yr I hear tell that line jumping "is not a sporting event." Well you always hear people say that wrestling is not a sport... In this case line jumping (which is not a sport) caused a wrestling match (which is also not a sport)on the tea cup ride

July 20, 200719 yr I beg to differ Wrestling IS a sport all the stuff you have to do and learn within wrestling.. its extremely hard to do and learn now as for WWE because I know you most likely are thinking what the WWE does isnt a sport.. its sports entertainment they entertain you with storylines but the wrestling moves you see and those chair, object shots are REAL dont EVER say wrestling is fake or not a sport because it is they put there bodies to the limit unlike football players or anyother sport....and before you ask I use to wrestle and Iam an avid fan.
July 20, 200719 yr This article is hilarious... I can totally see some butch southern woman going crazy on some poor woman. It's definitely a bad situation to be in, and I feel bad for the woman who got injured. But it's so ironic that this happened on the TEACUP ride in FANTASY LAND, at WALT DISNEY WORLD! Of all the places in the world for a fight to break out, I'd say that's one of the last places I'd think of. It's the happiest ride, in the happiest section of the happiest park. Women, I tell ya....
April 12, 200818 yr Guilty! Although on a lesser charge the jury did find Victoria Walker guilty of battery. Here is a link to the story with a video of the verdict and the convicted batter Victoria Walker. http://www.wesh.com/news/15845445/detail.html
April 23, 200818 yr Victoria Walker sentenced to 90 days in jail with 32 days already served. http://www.orlandosentinel.com/orl-bk-disn...0,3731100.story
April 23, 200818 yr She was there with her church group? Man, what are they teaching at this church? Amen Brother Woofer. Often I wonder what goes through people's heads; in this case I don't think I wanna know because it still wouldn't make sense.
