DropZone99 Posted July 30, 2007 Posted July 30, 2007 Im going to KI this Wendsday and i was wandering if SOB has been running okay for the past few days and if they're running both trains... also if Firehawk has been using both stations. Thankyou. =] Quote
TH13TEEN Posted July 30, 2007 Posted July 30, 2007 SOB has had some days with 1 train operation i do not know about Firehawk Quote
DeLorean Rider Posted July 30, 2007 Posted July 30, 2007 Son of Beast was "running okay" on July 8th last year aswell. You'll never know until the moment you're on the train. Quote
derek9312 Posted July 30, 2007 Posted July 30, 2007 Firehawk has been running both trains and both stations very well for a while now. SoB has had days with 1 train op as Firehawk51560 said but my advice is to go to Firehawk early because that is where the majority of the crowd goes and then hit up SoB because the line usually doesnt get too long and with both trains running it shouldnt do too bad but my advice is to hit both of them up early in the day. jondrewfoo Posted July 30, 2007 Posted July 30, 2007 lol yeah, but it has been running a one train operation as of late. Quote
DropZone99 Posted July 30, 2007 Author Posted July 30, 2007 So SOB is open today and has been running okay, like not being closed all day or anything...? Quote
Kman6 Posted July 30, 2007 Posted July 30, 2007 SOB was running all day that I could tell. I didn`t ride it as the lines were a bit long and it was quite hot in the sun. Spent about 50 mins in line for Firehawk first thing this morning. Quote
PKI_WMA Posted July 30, 2007 Posted July 30, 2007 I was at the park today, and SOB was open and running both trains. I rode in the blue train. I hit Firehawk first thing when the park opened. Both trains and both stations were being utilized, but seats were being assigned. I got lucky with a front row ride though! Quote
pkifreakhogg Posted July 31, 2007 Posted July 31, 2007 I rode SOB and Firehawk on Saturday evening and they were both up and running well. They have Firehawk running both stations and from what i can tell the have been running both trains and the lines have been running pretty steady with only about an hour wait. They also put new fans in the Firehawk line since i was there last saturday. Anyone else notice that? Quote
The Interpreter Posted July 31, 2007 Posted July 31, 2007 ...with misters in them, I so very much hope! Do they have misters? Quote
derek9312 Posted July 31, 2007 Posted July 31, 2007 ...with misters in them, I so very much hope! Do they have misters? Sorry just plain fans but they do feel good. Quote
PKIVortex Posted July 31, 2007 Posted July 31, 2007 The new fans are the rotating type, they are very powerful and really make the line much more bearable on hot days. Also about the assigned seating on Firehawk, I actually kinda like it, they have been trying very hard to have every train full every time, they even have gotten to the point where they will come out to the Que and ask for single riders just to fill a train. Great job Firehawk crew. Quote
jondrewfoo Posted July 31, 2007 Posted July 31, 2007 yes, i have noticed the single rider calling out to the que on Firehawk, thats good they have put fans too... and SOB is running both trains, yay! Quote
deb Posted July 31, 2007 Posted July 31, 2007 Assigned seats, that's pretty nifty. I think that is one of the main reasons IJ:ST runs so quickly, they keep the trains full and pick the odd groups out. We have yet to ride it and not been pulled from the queue. deb Quote
erniebald57 Posted July 31, 2007 Posted July 31, 2007 I hate assigned seats. I realize that lines have to move and all, but I'm a loyal, well paying customer. If I want to wait a few extra trains for the front seat, than I should be able to. Anyway, I was in on Sunday 7/30 and SOB was running in the morning/afternoon, but when I happened by the ride in the early evening it was closed. I tried to ask the guy manning the entrance to the queue what was up, but he was too busy talking to a couple of girly girls to answer me. Quote
