Mighty Mouse
Are there different point values for the targets in the Scooby Doo haunted castle? And if so, what are they?
coasterville
As far as I know, all targets are the same value: 30 points. Note: this differs from other Sally rides which often have secondary targets that only activate once you hit a primary target, the secondary targets are worth more, which make them worthy to find. Scooby Doo has some of these secondary targets but they are still only worth 30. My other advice for Scooby, don't try rapid fire machine-gun style shooting in place of distinct well aimed shots. There seems to be some logic to disallow scoring if you rapid fire.
DeLorean Rider
All targets are the same. As Coasterville said, rapid fireing is advised against. Just because you hear the sound does not mean that it is actually firing. If you want to know if it is firing you need to look at the front of the flashlight and see if the red light is flashing. I beleve there is like a 2 second timer or so that will not allow you to shoot faster than every two seconds. If you press the fire button as fast as you can, it will only actually shoot about one out of ever 5-10 shots.
SOB_TOM
Also, you need to shoot the target twice. The first shot registers the hit on the target, sends a pulse back to the gun to trigger the sound and scoring in the gun, the second shot sets off the animation. Keep your gun still and on target until the animation starts moving. The capaciter inside the gun control panel charges at a certain rate, which I really dont know off the top of my head, however this is not true with the sound card. A little tip: In the Library scene, wait to try to hit the portrait until you are DIRECTLY IN FRONT of it. This is because the range of the guns is roughly 30 ft, and the portrait is around 25 ft. back.
Mighty Mouse
Thank you to everyone who answered. My son tried to tell me I was cheating because I beat his score.
flightoffear1996
I think its easier to score if you sit in the middle of the cars. For soem reason the ones on the ends don't work as well for me.
bsktgrvy
We went to King's Island twice this year. Both times the car we were in had at least 2 malfunctioning guns. It kind of defeats the purpose for the ride.
coasterville
I disagree with the middle seat tip. IF you have two good snipers in your car sitting in the window seats they can clear out anything ahead of you. I'm not sure anymore if the left or right seat is the most advantageous, but I seem to have better 'advantage' if I get into the car first. SOB_TOM
The best thing to do about guns that dont work is to tell the operator. That way they can call maintenance and get the guns fixed. And you are actually presented with more targets sooner if you climb into the car first. This is because of how the car turns and rotates. The Interpreter
Why must I climb into the car first? Can't I just step in? How do the targets know? ...The Interpreter, doing what he does best...
PKIVortex
Where is King's Island? I know where Kings Island is.
The Interpreter
It's the island that belongs to the King. I think it may be behind Mr. Kinzel's house. Oh, wait...
PKIVortex
Sorry it just really bugs me when someone spells Kings Island like that. Kings has never had an 's in it.
The Interpreter
If you remember, when Cedar Fair bought Paramount Parks, the company website at first listed PKI and PKD as King's Island and King's Dominion. They also made a royal mess of the name of the Canadian park...
