I had such a great time on Saturday. The Flight of Fear tour was more than I imagined. Does anyone know if the "Power is on, please clear the ride" message plays before every launch or just (ghasp) when the power gets turned on?

I believe that it use to say, Warning the power is on, we're about to launch trains. You kinda tell where it says please clear the ride area sounds different then the warning the power is on part.

But to answer your question, it's the warning announcement they use for FoF, I believe the ops just push a button. No it doesn't play before every train, just for start-ups. And if they have to shut down for extended periods they will use it when they restart the ride.

Yeah I heard the other announcements being played while we were leaving. Do those play automatically when the ride is shut down/turned on or is it an extra step they have to do manually?

You can hear the message play once before the train comes into the building on the video I posted.

Manually I believe. Several weeks ago, the announcement got pressed by mistake while the ride was running. Whoops. I guess they do have more then one then. I guess the one you can hear in the video is the first one that plays, then the other one about launching trains plays. We may not have been able to hear that other one while the train was running the other day. Great video though.

Not as good as the one from Beast BUZZ a few years back but it is still cool since it is from a different angle.

Every ride has a a test horn. Most of the time you will hear them if your in the park before the park opens or if down for weather and they have to restart the ride.

I doubt it, it looks a lot better than an empty room.

Not to mention it is generic theming that costs nothing to license.

Been that way since the Outer Limits license ran out and was not renewed.

Remember, it used to be "Outer Limits: Flight of Fear."

It looked much better to me when I went on Wednesday the 1st. I might have noticed because I waited in line for it. The lights on the UFO flash and there are green lights on it that I have never noticed, and different stuff happens at different parts of the movie that they play (Lights flash and stuff). I was very impressed. I can't wait untill next year to see what they can do with a whole off-season that doesn't include bulding one ride, and re-doing another.

Yea but unfortunately now for "safety reasons" they have to keep the house lights on in the hanger. Kinda takes away from the effect of when the lights would all go out.
