August 21, 200718 yr The first ride I went on was The Maverick it took about 2 hours to get on because I broken down was not worth the wait. After that I got in line for the Mean Streak which took 45 min. The next ride I Wanted to go on the Gemini but the line was out the door so I got in line for the Magnum took about 30 min but it was worth the wait. After that I walk down to the Millennium Force the line was 2 hours but a great ride. Next was the raptor another 2 hours so I did not get in line. It started to rain around 7:00 so they closed most of the roller coasters that was disappointing because it rain the rest of the night so I left at 9:30. I have never seen the park that crowed before. Every roller coaster had at least a 45 wait. I got at the park when it opened. Is it was crowded at Kings Island on Saturday's?
August 21, 200718 yr And those waits are VERY reasonable for a crowded Saturday. I've waited longer than that on a crowded weekday. And Kings Island was, by all reports, very, very busy Saturday. There was this weird guy there, I think his name was Al. See also: http://www.KICentral.com/forums/index.php?...c=10556&hl=
August 21, 200718 yr Captain Nemo and I went to KI Saturday for the 'Weird' Al concert. Parking was kind of a mess. They had cones set up to redirect people to the south lots, near Boomerang Bay, which is where I ultimately parked. I showed up around 5:00 and caught Endless Summer, which had a packed house. I always like to see that. Weird Al had around 3,000 people, so it wasn't overly crowded. Gabe and I were lucky enough to purchase our tickets the day of the show and still manage to get 9th row, center.
August 22, 200718 yr I thought KI was only moderately crowded Saturday...I got 7 rides between 10:00 am and noon!! But overall, average for Saturday and nothing ridiculous...though Firehawk's line moved a little slower than normal (I thought) due to ride operations that seemed bad and slow compared to what the rest of the season has been like! However, due to the Weird Al concert I didn't chance leaving around 6:30-7:00 pm (as usual) to hit up Gold Star, and instead left a little earlier.
