^It's not.

Awesome, thanks Dane!

So... Cowboy Carnage is simply renamed "Red Beards Revenge". Is there any new changes to the haunts at all? -Hauntguy

That's what I'm wondering. Now that we know Halloween Haunt is free with admission (for the last time), are the haunts going to be any different from last year other than the names?

How does Halloween Haunt work at other parks where there's an upcharge? Does the season pass holder get into the park until 12-1am and pay extra for the haunted attractions? This should be clarified before season passes are sold at KI. Are they going to open in April like last year? What is the normal park season? April through October?

From a few sneak peeks last week, I'd say the layouts and interiors of the mazes will remain relatively unchanged. A few people have suggested that a good chunk of the improvements this year are going to the costume and make-up departments, to make the monsters look even scarier than before.

Also, and I don't know if anyone else has noticed, but the press releases say there will be 13 attractions for the Haunt, yet only 11 are listed right now. Well, I asked around, and it's confirmed that there are going to be a total of thirteen attractions.

An obvious guess is that the Hauncert Series may be coming back, along with that Heckle and Howl improv show, although I can imagine the improv routine will be more adult-oriented than last year's offering.

Although, it would be really cool to have two more fear zones available this year, or perhaps one additional zone and one additional show. Maybe copy Kings Dominion's upcoming VooDoo Swamp or CarnEVIL scare zone.

Speaking of CarnEVIL, looking at the two boards on the opposite sides of the Theater, there's an attraction with this moniker. So I'm thinking to myself, it's either the official rename of the Circus of Horrors, or a new scare zone. I personally doubt the latter and am just expecting it to be the Circus's rename. But, hey, anything could happen.

That attraction will not be returning for the 2007 event.

Did they say it was going to be an upcharge next year? CWL and KD don't charge for there Halloween event. PGA doesn't have a Halloween Haunt. I hope they don't charge for it next year.

Halloween Haunt is FREE with park admission this year, however WILL be an upcharge next year.

How they will handle Halloween Haunt as an upcharge next year is a decision that has yet to be made. Likely they will be open from 10-5, close, then Halloween Haunt will be from 7 to 1am, however that is NOT the official word.

I'm thinking it might be a show! On one of KI's Haunt videos... it says there are 3 shows? Well, only one has been announced! Could CarnEvil be a show? This is getting exciting! -Hauntguy

There will only be one show for the adult Halloween Haunt, Dead Awakening. However, there are typically one or two shows for Nick or Treat.

Topgun is on the list of thrill rides at the Haunt site. I wonder if the Action Zone area is going to be dark for Halloween Haunt? It might be thrilling to ride Drop Zone in complete darkness. My questions are will there be facades outside of the houses (except for Massacre Manor) and will the train be stopping along the route for Tombstone Terrortory? I always thought that a train ride dropping guests off in the picnic grove for a haunted h use would be kind of neat. Guests could walk through a zone behind the meet and greet theater right between the Wild thornberry ride and Reptar.

I don't know if this should be labeled 'Bursting the Bubble' or not, considering the wording is a bit confusing to me, but it seems as if they are, in fact, charging for Halloween Haunt as discount tickets for Friday and Saturday nights:

http://www2.cedarfair.com/kingsisland/shop...l_admission.cfm

Unfortunately, it doesn't say anything involving Season Passholder discounts at all, and this is the only page that pops up for General Admission tickets.

So I don't know if this is just an online discount for regular admission (like you'd find at, like, Wendy's, or Kroger) and paying at the park means paying full price, or this is the upcharge that was rumored for awhile only in the form of the general admission being 'slashed' in half.

Any more details, please?

EDIT: Also just checked the information for Nick or Treat this year. Apparently, NoT will be closing at 5:30pm instead of 7:00 on both Saturday and Sunday, with the Haunt starting at 7pm Saturday nights.
