flightoffear1996
Do we have a picture of the jacket?
BoddaH1994
No, but I think it's one of the really nice leather ones. Not unlike a high school varsity jacket.
specialk141
do we think tomb raider is on the way out? i've been to the park 6 times this summer, the latest being two weeks ago. i have yet to see tomb raider run this season, and i noticed last visit while riding The Beast that there was some of the scenery just sitting out back of the building. discounting the jacket now? isnt getting rid of merchandise usually a sign? any thoughts? am i crazy? BoddaH1994
Tomb Raider will be back in action for 2008. Unfortunately, they need a replacement part which will take all season to get. The jackets are discounted because they need to move all of the merch that has the "P" word on it, and this is kind of a big undertaking. flightoffear1996
My question is will Tomb Raider be operating under the name Tomb Raider : The Ride or will it have a new ride program, a new theme and a new name for the 2008 season"? flightoffear1996
^He just said Tomb Raider will be back for 2008, doesn't that answer your question. No not really cause the ride itself could be back but under a new name and as a new attraction.

If they don't get the new part, it will be named "Tomb Raider, the Building".
tigellinus
If operating it'll have the name "Cave Top Spin" and have the same program as the one at Dorney.
The Interpreter
If operating it'll have the name "Cave Top Spin" and have the same program as the one at Dorney. Somehow I doubt that. And I sure hope it isn't true. Of all the ones I've ever ridden, Dorney Park (which I otherwise adore...well except for the seat belts on their WHIP...yes WHIP), has the most boring Top Spin ever. Nothing else is even close.
BoddaH1994
Can you buy them at the park? Ok -- the official word: The park says that since it's closed to the public for the next several weeks they are under the assumption that the jackets will be sold out by then. If you want one, I'd hop on it now.. there are only limited quantities and limited sizes!!
TOPGUN1993
I would like to so a picture before I would make a purchase if possible.
Cody
Im not spending 50.00 to 75.00 on a jacket I never seen before. Maybe pictures might help?
A_Titanic_Mess
The jackets were pretty nice when first purchased, but keep in mind if these are part of the original purchase, they are over 5 years old (they were expensive, so I can't imagine the park did a reorder after the initial purchase). They were purchased in limited quantites to really be used as gifts for the Paramount Studio executives for the opening of TRTR. We gave several away at the TRTR press event to studio guys, TRTR ride manufacturer, and Paramount Park executives. The rest were for sale in the leather shop across from TRTR. Nate
Tomb Raider will be back in action for 2008. Unfortunately, they need a replacement part which will take all season to get. NOOOO!! I was praying Kenton's Cove Keelboat Canal would be rebuilt... please die TR:TR
Reclaimer
They're not going to tear down a popular, modern thrill ride for an old water ride...no matter how much you might miss it.
Nate
But most people I talk to hate TR:TR. They wish KCKC was rebuilt and think TR:TR is one of the biggest wastes of money the park put in. I guess it's popular for first time riders before they realize how much it sucks, especially without sounds/water/effects.
flightoffear1996
I dont ride this ride much but when I do I never hear anything other than "That ride sucks" "We wasted our time" and my personal faviorte "Thats it?"
Nate
Hmm... ^ That confirms my theory that society (Especially adults who grew up with it and miss it) would greatly appreciate KCKC being reinstalled and Tomb Raider trashed. TR:TR made my head feel crappy afterwards, and a little disoriented but not happy at all. It was a one time ride for me in 2007, my first and last time on TR:TR. The only complaint I hear of KCKC was that the water was dirty...
The Interpreter
And stunk... Seriously, the ridership for KCKC in its last years was nearly nonexisting.
Jasper
I might consider purchasing one but like everyone has said i would have to see a picture of it first. The Son of Beast one doesnt sound too bad.

Nate
Seriously, the ridership for KCKC in its last years was nearly nonexisting. Seriously? If ridership was indeed that bad in it's last years, why? So I guess tricking 1st time riders on TR:TR is better?
BoddaH1994
People have all sorts of misconceptions about rides, but the downtime thing... that's only going to get worse.
