John Allen, designer of The Racer & The Beastie, died 25 years ago today. John also helped out on the design for The Beast but was not the master designer. Some of John calculations were made in the International Street Restaurant on the back of a placemat. That placemat is still up there and on display.

May he be remembered by his out and backs as he rests in peace.

He will not be forgottn he truly was a legend.

I would say that this is the man responsible for my love of coasters. Although The Racers were not my first coaster, it was what I would call my first major coaster. God rest his soul.

You also forgot John Allen help make the Scooby Doo/Beastie. Its a sad day for the park and the world.
