Gordon Bombay Posted October 8, 2007 Posted October 8, 2007 We're going back to the moon, then to Mars, and we're building rollercoasters while we're at it. I just hope the reliability of this one is good. I wonder if when this is built if it will go on RCDB? Quote
Captain Nemo Posted October 9, 2007 Posted October 9, 2007 I think this is the perfect idea for an escape if god forbid something does go wrong. I will probably be checked by mechanics every day, you really can't have something like that break down. It also looks like from the drawing that the train will have to be taken back up my hand each time it is sent. BTW, I bet it will be on RCDB Gordan, they add anything that is a coaster... expect Avatar. Quote
Beast1979 Posted October 11, 2007 Posted October 11, 2007 ^ HA. NASA is building coasters. If they can't handle space travel, then you could defiatly handle the way down! Quote
Cory Butcher Posted October 11, 2007 Posted October 11, 2007 What are you saying? I sure as hell hope that you aren't dissing NASA, an american institution that has more to their doings than, an american flag, a rocket, and space travel. Quote
Beast1979 Posted October 11, 2007 Posted October 11, 2007 ^ I'm not dissing NASA, I'm congratulating them! I would have never thought of that! Quote
DropZone99 Posted October 11, 2007 Posted October 11, 2007 They didn't even really talk about the ride.. al they said is that it's the third tallest roller coaster in the world. Oh and it goes straight down.. then what..? How does it get back up to the station? Quote
DropZone99 Posted October 11, 2007 Posted October 11, 2007 Wow, i wander if the ride would be worth climbing all those stairs? Quote

Hendrick Posted October 11, 2007 Posted October 11, 2007 The rocket to the left looks like an elevator. Quote
Beast1979 Posted October 11, 2007 Posted October 11, 2007 Maybe they use something simaler to /scooby's Ghoster Coaster? Quote
Cory Butcher Posted October 11, 2007 Posted October 11, 2007 Im pretty sure they wont be riding this 'coaster' for fun. Although Im sure test riding will occur at intervals. Not to mention they use the same elevator type system to get to the top of the rocket, that they will most likely use for a test to occur. Quote
fryler87 Posted October 11, 2007 Posted October 11, 2007 That yellow track reminds me of my favorite friend, Mr. Toomer. Quote
Jasper Posted October 11, 2007 Posted October 11, 2007 ^^You do know Ron Toomer doesnt exist. He is a big myth. Quote
Snake Attack! Posted October 11, 2007 Posted October 11, 2007 Wait when the rocket takes off won't the whole tower fall over? Quote
Beast1979 Posted October 11, 2007 Posted October 11, 2007 ^^You do know Ron Toomer doesnt exist. He is a big myth. Yes, I'm quite aware. And, gamesguy08, the towe does not fall over. But the track will experience some EXTREME shaking. Quote
The Interpreter Posted October 12, 2007 Posted October 12, 2007 Mr. Ron Toomer a myth? Sheesh. We have him to thank for most of the Arrow coasters... http://www.blackwell-synergy.com/doi/abs/1...ournalCode=jpcu Quote
