Actually, right now, Delirium holds 600 and Maxair holds 0! Maxair has been mysteriously

closed down for the remainder of the season. When it was running, they were able to really

move the que a lot faster than what Delirium does for some reason. Also, in my opinion, there's

so many other things to ride at Cedar Point, that Maxair isnt a priority to a lot of people, where as

Kings Island lacks in flat adventure rides, and Delirium is one of about 3 total that are worth

waiting for.

mysteriosly closed kind of like Delirium in 2005 what had to be replaced on Delirium in 2005

Also do not underestimate the actual length of the queue for the reason Delirium has a longer wait. At CP the Maxair queue holds 3 cycles (20-30 min) max, at which point it does (frequently) spill out onto the Midway. However, even when the queue stretches back to WT its still shorter then Delirium's designed queue. People are much more likely to line up for a ride that has its line only filling part of its queue then one that spills out past the entrance, regardless of wait time, which is why Delirium usually sports a much longer line.

yea the line for Max Air is really short. I waited in it when it was filled up and it took about 15 minutes until I was riding. Usually most guest are riding Raptor, MF, TTD and Maverick.

Mysteriously closed down... More like maXair blew a drive motor... again. I was up at CP this past weekend, and theres some parts and what looks like some sort of drive belt that is off the ride and draped over the top of the arm. I would highly doubt that it will re-open before the end of the season. I think they are just going to wait until the off-season to fix it and get it up and running next year.

Yeah KI is just slower at loading and unloading for some reason.

I've noticed that CP is a lot better at filling the pre-ride queue that KI is. The maXair crew has been really good at filing in 50 people and giving them their seat number before the previous ride cycle has ended, which is not what I can say for the Delirium crew. My guess is that that might have something to do with the higher pph capacity, since a lot of the time people are still getting their seat assignments when the previous ride cycle has ended on Delirium.

what had to be replaced on Delirium in 2005

To make a long story short and save a lot of technical terms, Delirium was not installed correctly. Nothing was wrong with the ride itself.

Where did you hear that it was installed incorrectly??? From my understanding a part broke and you could hear a really loud grinding noise when it went down for the summer. The part was a part that's not supposed to break and it had to be remade in Germany and was quite an expensive part to break...atleast a million from my understanding
