Dvo Posted October 31, 2007 Posted October 31, 2007 I just got a call from my friend, and he said that he saw some inverted coaster track going northbound on I-275 from the Eastgate/Batavia area. One must assume it's from the steel plant in Batavia. So.... where is it going? Maybe KI is getting a new coaster next year!
Aves Posted October 31, 2007 Posted October 31, 2007 Lets only hope! What color was it? Let us not forget the temporary madness when Behemoth came through Cincinnati!
Dvo Posted October 31, 2007 Author Posted October 31, 2007 Yeah, it probably was. I'll have to ask him about it after work... he said he was sure it was inverted track... but there's no difference between B&M inverted track and upright track.
Aves Posted October 31, 2007 Posted October 31, 2007 ^ Yea, but, why would they lay it upsidedown? Besides, there are pleanty of other parks in the region it could be going to! Indiana Beach, Six Flags Great America, Michigan's Adventure, Not to metion the 7 parks in Pennsylvania!
PKIDelirium Posted October 31, 2007 Posted October 31, 2007 It's not unusual for track to be set on the flatbeds rails-down for stability.
Tuskin Posted October 31, 2007 Posted October 31, 2007 Yea its all about the weight on the flatbed. If you set it the way its suppose to look it might not hold on the flatbed because it would not be stable.
KDCOASTERFAN Posted November 1, 2007 Posted November 1, 2007 ^ Yea, but, why would they lay it upsidedown? Besides, there are plenty of other parks in the region it could be going to! Indiana Beach, Six Flags Great America, Michigan's Adventure, Not to mention the 7 parks in Pennsylvania! MIA's getting GL's SLC remember? SFGRAM already has an invert so it wouldn't go there either. Now has anyone looked at how huge the spine is on Behemoth's track? It's certainly bigger than the spine on a B&M invert that's for sure.
KIBeast Posted November 1, 2007 Posted November 1, 2007 It's not for Michigan's adventure. They are getting Thunderhawk which is a completely different manufacturer. It could be more track for behemoth. Not sure if all of that track has arrived at CW.
DeLorean Rider Posted November 1, 2007 Posted November 1, 2007 I personally dont see how getting a used Hang-n'-Bang from Geauga Lake is an upgrade but I guess if that's how Cedar Fair wants to distribute the goods, what can you do.
KIBeast Posted November 1, 2007 Posted November 1, 2007 Maybe because CF had that puppy running better and smoother than 6F ever thought too? I rode it several times at GL after the CF acquisition, and it was always a smooth ride.
Aves Posted November 1, 2007 Posted November 1, 2007 ^ So, MA isn't getting it, SFGAM isn't getting it, CW isn't getting it, I'm pretty sure GL isn't getting it, or CP. So, can anyone produce a pic?
JacksonPKI Posted December 13, 2007 Posted December 13, 2007 It's For Behemoth. "I'm Just Guessing" Did it happen to look like This?
