November 4, 200718 yr I miss the campground at times, it had it's good/bad sides and overall it was decent. My only complaints was with the bathhouses they were very nasty and the store/laundry could've used some work. I would like to see another campground in the future, where would a good spot be?
November 8, 200718 yr Heck yes I'd love to see another campground! As far as the right location now that might take alittle thinking huh?
February 17, 200818 yr Has anyone heard if Cedar Fair ever plans on bringing a campground back to KI? We would stay there at least twice a year when they had one, I wish they would bring it back.
February 17, 200818 yr I dont know but you are always welcome to set your camper up at my house anytime you want to visit the park!

February 17, 200818 yr I doubt a new campgrounnd will arise because it is not as profitale use of the land as say expansion would be.
February 17, 200818 yr ^Where do you have the figures to prove that? According to Seibert, a new campground was coming but the project was lost after they decided to sell Paraount Parks.

I'm pretty sure that if a camp ground was anything near being unprofitable, Paramount would have divested that VERY valuable property right next to the park years ago.
February 18, 200818 yr If they decieded to build a new campground where do you think they would even put it......maybe where the old greenhouse is????
February 18, 200818 yr I have no figures. My assumption is that a new campground won't bring in as much money as a new ride. Hey, I could be wrong. Personally, camping isn't my cup of tea. Public bathrooms and the outdoors don't appeal to me. I like the private bathrooms, cable TV, and comforts of a motel/hotel room. Best regards, Italian Chef

February 18, 200818 yr But see, a hotel or campground, if owned by Cedar Fair, would allow for an additional source of revenue outside of the typical park revenue. True a new ride may lead to an increase in attendance and increased per cap spending, but that is all related to in park revenue. At Cedar Point, they generate a lot of out of park revenue because of all the hotels and ammenities that they operate outside of the core park business. Will we see a new campground or hotel operated by Cedar Fair at Kings Island in the future? Who knows? It could happen eventually. I do not, however, see it occurring in the near term future.
