flightoffear1996
Being that Kings Island owns the most land in the chain do you guys thing Cedar Fair will be able to let go and have Kings Island grow to be bigger and better than Cedar Point or will Cedar Point always be the flagship park? Dvo
There's no doubt in my mind that CP will always be the flagship park. I'm sure KI will expand and improve as time advances. But as we've seen, CP keeps finding creative ways to improve their park, whether it be by stacking rides, or simply removing stuff for better things. BoddaH1994
I can assure you that "addition through subtraction" is something that for the most part will be a memory.
pkiboy
A little bird told me that Cedar Fair Does not Like trees.
KIBeast
^Then someone needs to shoot that little bird. I think CP will always be the flagship park. I could easily see CF selling off some of the land that is not in use as well. They tend to not hold on to any extra land.
XGatorHead 8904
They tend to not hold on to any extra land. Could that be because they have limited land on the peninsula? Anyway, I believe CP will always remain the flagship. The company's name even refers to the park, unless we can expect a change to Kings Fair! flightoffear1996
I think the biggest thing helping Cedar Point with the amount of tourism they see is from the lake. Beings that KI and CP draw around the same number of guest per year but I belive Cedar Point would make more money cause of less season pass holders visiting the park. Raptor66
Anyway, I believe CP will always remain the flagship. The company's name even refers to the park, unless we can expect a change to Kings Fair! It also refers to Vallyfair, but is that the flagship park? no...... but that is besides the point. I would be surprised if KI became the flagship park. At least for a while......
Aves
KI isn't becomeing anybody's flagship park anytime soon. Unless we can rely on "Bush Gardens Ohio"!
Touchdown
CP also gets all the free press for being the coaster capitol of the world. Face it, so long as the CF office is in Sandusky, CP will always be the flagship park. However being in that second tier (along with KBF, and KD) is not a bad place for KI to be. Browntggrr
Being that Kings Island owns the most land in the chain do you guys thing Cedar Fair will be able to let go and have Kings Island grow to be bigger and better than Cedar Point or will Cedar Point always be the flagship park? I would think it needs to be determined if the land that is around KI is usable or not (i.e. wetlands?). And if it is usable, how much would it cost to develop. I also wonder if KI does have the most land. Wonderland seems to have a good chunk of property as well, as does CP, but it is not connected to the peninsula.
