The Interpreter Posted November 8, 2007 Author Posted November 8, 2007 Don't miss this page: http://www.mvr-hr.info/INFORMATION.html Big Dipper includes its trains... Quote
Browntggrr Posted November 8, 2007 Posted November 8, 2007 Well.... Selling the Big Dipper? Why? That is a bad decision. No trains being sold with Villian of RWB? Well the writing is on the wall for that one. Quote
Cory Butcher Posted November 8, 2007 Posted November 8, 2007 Actually,I feel this is GREAT news. They were doomed for scrap, this at least gives them a fighting chance. This isnt a cure, but sure is a treatment! Quote
Browntggrr Posted November 8, 2007 Posted November 8, 2007 And if they don't sell by the time that the land they currently sit on is sold and is to be developed? There are a lot of "what if's" surrounding the decision. I really don't care about RWB or Villian. But it would have been nice to see BD moved to another CF park. Quote
Tuskin Posted November 8, 2007 Posted November 8, 2007 I wonder how much big dipper would cost, not like I could by it or anything but I am always curious about how much they are selling things for. I dont want to call and just annoy them when I really have no interest in buying it, I would just like to know the price range =^) Quote
Gordon Bombay Posted November 8, 2007 Posted November 8, 2007 I wonder if Stricker's is interested... Quote
Tuskin Posted November 8, 2007 Posted November 8, 2007 Does anyone have any guesses to what they would be selling big dipper for? Like if you knew the original cost to build it, it might help give a range of what they could be selling it for around? Quote
Monroe Posted November 8, 2007 Posted November 8, 2007 Tuskin, Call Chuck Bingham and tell him that you are working on a school paper and would like some info on new and used wood coaster pricing. Make sure you tell him that you got his name from the MVR add. He will get you in the ball park for the ride only, not install or transportation. Chuck is very nice and will work with you the best he can, and will not think that you are just bugging him or being nosey. Quote
Dane Posted November 8, 2007 Posted November 8, 2007 That site looks like it was made with the MSPaint for websites. Quote
BavarianBeatle Posted November 8, 2007 Posted November 8, 2007 Maybe everyone on this site and on savethedipper.com could figue out a way to pool our money and preserve it somewhere.......... Just an idea..... Quote
spngbob Posted November 8, 2007 Posted November 8, 2007 For some reason I think its really cool that an average (okay maybe above average) joe could be visiting this website buying roller coasters Quote
Tuskin Posted November 8, 2007 Posted November 8, 2007 Maybe everyone on this site and on savethedipper.com could figue out a way to pool our money and preserve it somewhere.......... Just an idea..... I really like that idea!!! However, I wonder if we could really somehow make that work... id be game for it, I mean heck if you got enough people together im sure it could be done Quote
Keysersoze Posted November 8, 2007 Posted November 8, 2007 I personally wanted to see the Dipper end up at Kings Island. It would fit right in with the most wooden coaster track in the world amusment park. I rode the Dipper this summer and I must say it was a really fun ride. The cars still had the old lap bars so there was tons of air time on it. I supose this might be better, if theres a buyer. If there is, I hope they take care of it, it needed a little love, but there will be a shadow arcoss my heart if it ends up a pile of rubble. Quote
KIBeast Posted November 8, 2007 Posted November 8, 2007 I really figured that at least the Villain would be moved to another CF park. Quote
Tuskin Posted November 9, 2007 Posted November 9, 2007 so lets all pitch in some money each month and by the dipper lol Quote
Gordon Bombay Posted November 9, 2007 Posted November 9, 2007 whos house does it go to and who gets to use it on what days Quote
Browntggrr Posted November 9, 2007 Posted November 9, 2007 ^ Let it go to someone's land down South where it is warm. That way it is always open and gives a good excuse for a road trip. Quote
AintNutinElse2Do Posted November 9, 2007 Posted November 9, 2007 hmmm this all very interesting.... I recall earlier this year Herschend expressed interest in buying the Zippen Pippen for Dollywood... but then it was bought for Carolina Crossroads development but then the city of memphis and local citizens ended up getting it to stay (at least at last i heard).... well what i was trying to say I wonder if maybe they would be interested in Geauga Lake's old coasters and now that Herschend has 3 parks they could buy one for each park.
