KIfan73
Its been posted on here before, but, its still a great watch. I've never done psychadelic drugs before, but between the bright colors and the music, I feel like I'm on them when I watch it.

Guest kwindshawne
That was cool. Just wish the quality was better. Enchanted voyage was one of my favorites.
KIfan73
With the park 35 years old now, I've wondered if an area of the park called something like "Old Kings Island" would go over. Have a cafe or something (a mild re-theme of Festhaus?) with old memoriabilia in it, historical signs, etc. Maybe bring back a new version of an original small flat ride. I think Oktoberfest would make a great area.
WooferBearATL
Now that brought back memories.

KIfan73
Looks like it was June 17, 1976 High Temperature that day was 82 degrees, winds of 4 mph... Wow, is it the offseason, or what....
flightoffear1996
Wow that was cool to see how much the park has grown and how much Kings Island was trying to mix in the thrills and family fun.
WooferBearATL
Wow that was cool to see how much the park has grown and how much Kings Island was trying to mix in the thrills and family fun. It was all about theming. When you were in Rivertown, you really were in Rivertown. When you were in Oktoberfest, there really was a German Theme. Etc, Etc, Etc. I have trouble adjusting to. That old footage was great. I have a question.....was that the Bavarian Beetle that they were riding (looked kind of like a wild mouse ride)? The Bat footage was great too. It would swing so far out, that was such a great ride.....when it was working. Thanks for sharing! I didn't know that youtube had that stuff. The Interpreter
If you mean around 4:15 into the video, yes, that is Bavarian Beetle! It was a Galaxi coaster...and was known as Galaxi at Coney Island of Ohio, from whence it came.

Kawana
What would you think if I sang out of tune Would you stand up and walk out on me? Lend me your ears and I'll sing you a song And I'll try not to sing out of key Did anyone else think of the Wonder Years when they saw this?
