Purplehaze
I do not know if this has been asked yet about season passes or not. I know if you buy on line you still get free parking, however if you buy your pass at Meijers do u still get the free parking? A friend was asking me. KI-ORIG-EMP
I would call the park and ask them that question.
Purplehaze
Just found out my local Meijers is not selling them this year
Browntggrr
^ Is it just your local Meijers, or chainwide?
Purplehaze
Not sure i just went up to the customer service desk and asked. They said they were not offered it this year. If you do not have a credit card, you can just go buy a prepaid gift visa or master card from just about any store these days... WORD TO THE WISE: if you do this make sure to buy a prepaid visa or mastercard gift card, if you buy a reloadable card you have to pay for a activation fee and monthly fees.....So just buy a gift card, then you can buy your passes online... nhimes90
Just found out my local Meijers is not selling them this year Yeah there is like three Meijers around me and none of them are selling KI passes. Is KI no longer dealing with Meijer
Purplehaze
Probably not.
Browntggrr
Apparently, KI is depending more on walk-up sales and online sales. Unless Meijer's was getting too big of a cut. I'm sure they were not selling passes for KI out of the goodness of their heart.
Purplehaze
Sure they were getting a cut, its america isnt it...lol.. How muchI would have no clue. I imagine that Meijers sold a lot of them but I am sure it isnt a crucial amount of sales.
BoddaH1994
For all we know, Meijer could have been paying KI to sell the passes there. "Hey kids, let's stop by Meijer and buy our season passes.... and while we're there, we'll pick up a few hundred dollars in groceries." Purplehaze
Miejer was acting as a affiliate agent I know of sorts.

Browntggrr
^ Yeah, that is quite possible. Meijer's could have ended the deal because they could not justify selling the passes anymore. Are they selling day passes?
BoddaH1994
It's probably all or none. I'd venture to guess they're not.
CoastersNSich
I even remember the days when Lazarus and McAlpin's department stores in Cincinnati sold Kings Island season passes. Now with the Internets, obtaining tickets for events, parks, and air travel from remote yet physical sources is diminishing. For example, Delta used to have some ticket reservations offices around the Cincinnati area. You used to find TicketMaster outlets in many retailers. Now, it seems for physical in person tickets/passes, you must go to the airport/ballpark/arena/stadium/Kings Island etc... or it's getting that way. I'm guessing that sales of season passes through Meijer has been on the decline...
Touchdown
Living in Toledo, I can assure you that CF has not cut off relations with Meijer, because up here Meijer sells CP passes and those are allready up (and this year even include a Season Pass, but not a PP.) Last summer, I was actually able to get KI passes for cheap at a grocery store as well: Kroger. I would check there because maybe CF is just trying to simply things for the areas where they market KI and CP.
Purplehaze
My Kroger does not have them either. I shop at the one in Landen.
