February 24, 200818 yr Besides Ki of course being the best, is there any more amusement and/or waterparks in the mid-west that are GREAT? Do not tell me Cedar Point or Six Flags Great America in Gurnee, IL. Been to both and don't care for either one of them. Thinking about Michigan's Great Adventure, because I've never been there. I know it doesn't compare to KI. Also don't tell me Indiana Beach. I take my family on a few trips per summer. King's Island is one of course. Also does anyone know of a waterpark with a surf simulator besides KI? I'm from South Bend so I don't want to go all that far. ANY SUGGESTIONS?
February 24, 200818 yr Technically, it is Michigan`s Adventure, not Michigan`s Great Adventure. Great Adventure is actually the name of a park in New Jersey which is under the banner of Six Flags. I`m not sure of what other water parks feature a FlowRider surfing simulator like Kings Island has in Boomerang Bay.
February 24, 200818 yr And if he's disappointed with Cedar Point and instead goes to Michigan's Adventure, I can't wait to read that trip report! I'm waiting for someone to make the obligatory reference to Holiday World. Needless to say, it won't be me. . .
February 24, 200818 yr I don't know if Holiday World is considered in the Midwest, but it is within driving range (thank the lord)
February 24, 200818 yr There is this little fun spot close to him that I am so tempted to recommend. Tee hee.
February 24, 200818 yr Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom. It blows Cedar Point and any other midwestern park way out of the water. If I lived closer to it, I'd shoot photographs for KentuckyKingdomCentral rather than KICentral.
