Guest rcfreak339 Posted March 9, 2008 Posted March 9, 2008 I want to see more thrill rides, redoing paths around Twisted Twins and Mile High Falls, retracking of Twisted Twins. I was thinking a Huss frissbie where Top Eliminator Dragsters used to be. But what do you want to see? Quote
King Maple The Tree King Posted March 9, 2008 Posted March 9, 2008 Cedar Fair could purchase it and call it Kentucky Kingdom's Wildwater Kingdom. Quote
PKIDelirium Posted March 9, 2008 Posted March 9, 2008 Nah, that's clunky. Kentucky's Wildwater Kingdom. Quote
King Maple The Tree King Posted March 9, 2008 Posted March 9, 2008 True, that does sound better, especially since they'd remove all the rides and make it just a waterpark like they do at all their other parks that pose a threat to their more successful ones. Quote
italianchef Posted March 9, 2008 Posted March 9, 2008 I like SFKK the way it is. But after last year's accident, I'd like to see more emphasis on ride safety. Additionally, I'd like a return of the Batman Stunt Show and better shows in general. Quote
Gordon Bombay Posted March 9, 2008 Posted March 9, 2008 I'd like a return of the Batman Stunt Show and better shows in general. One of those statements could be said for other parks in the area as well. Quote
DropZone99 Posted March 9, 2008 Posted March 9, 2008 I just don't like SFKK at all, except Change and Wild E. Coyote coaster. Quote
The Interpreter Posted March 9, 2008 Posted March 9, 2008 I just don't like SFKK at all, except Change and Wild E. Coyote coaster. Do you perhaps mean Chang and Road Runner Express? Wile E. Coyote Coaster is at Six Flags Magic Mountain! Quote
Beast1979 Posted March 9, 2008 Posted March 9, 2008 True, that does sound better, especially since they'd remove all the rides and make it just a waterpark like they do at all their other parks that pose a threat to their more successful ones. If that were true, I would be Terrified of a Cedar Fair Ownership. But, with the purchsing of Paramount Parks I think they were attempting to do something besides eliminate compatition. But, it does make sense, though... Quote
The Interpreter Posted March 9, 2008 Posted March 9, 2008 A lot of investors are beginning to wonder what it was that they were contemplating that made them pay the price they did..... Quote
KIBeast Posted March 9, 2008 Posted March 9, 2008 You would think that they have heard of negotiating a price. Seems like they just paid exactly what Paramount said they would sell for. You always try to talk down the price. At least a little. That would be like paying sticker price for a car. Quote
The Interpreter Posted March 9, 2008 Posted March 9, 2008 It was an auction. And CBS ended up getting at the extreme upper end of their expectations. Some have noted that Viacom, which had thrust the parks onto CBS when the assets were divided between Viacom and CBS, was less than amused! Quote
KIBeast Posted March 9, 2008 Posted March 9, 2008 Any idea whom else was bidding in the auction? Quote
The Interpreter Posted March 9, 2008 Posted March 9, 2008 That information has been very closely held.... Quote
KIBeast Posted March 9, 2008 Posted March 9, 2008 Sounds like either there was some fierce competition for the Paramount Parks or CF just bid so high that no one else could have possibly outbid them. Which in turn, seems to be way too much. Quote
