March 14, 200818 yr While the specifics of the auction have yet to be announced, Norton Auctioneers will be conducting an auction of what seems to be everything left of Geauga Lake. The only description they have provided thus far: Huge Auction of Complete Park! Information Available Soon! It's the 17th and the 18th of JUNE. I wonder if this would be something worth checking out? Source: http://nortonauctioneers.com/upcoming.htm
March 14, 200818 yr Author *Slaps head* thanks for pointing that out, that was going to a waste of a drive tuesday!
March 14, 200818 yr wow- did you see that on July 23rd they're auctioning off King Tut.... it must SUCK to be a mummy.
March 24, 200818 yr Apparently will probably include Big Dipper and the other two wood coasters, unless something changes: http://www.crainscleveland.com/article/200...mp;Profile=1073
March 30, 200818 yr I'm think I'm gonna go bid on the woodies. It'll be a great way to get some cheap firewood!!!! LOL Just kidding.
March 30, 200818 yr ^Not funny. Yeah,I would hate to see the Big Dipper demolished.I loved that coaster.
March 30, 200818 yr Sadly the Big Dipper is not worth being moved and CF seems to have no desire to sell a small area of the park to ACE (the only one interested in buying the Big Dipper and keeping it on site). So it's prob gonna get demolished. Villian is the only one with a good chance of getting saved in my opinion.

Im sure that CF will at least sell it to someone, but not across seas.(I hope)or they could sell it to coney!
March 30, 200818 yr Cedar Fair will sell the land and properties to whomever offers them the most amount of money. To be honest, they probably don`t care whether the highest bidder will keep the Big Dipper or not.
March 30, 200818 yr Hopefully someone will buy Big Dipper and The Villain. After that, there's not really much else worth saving.
March 30, 200818 yr ^Double Loop is Well worth saving. From the sites ive seen Ive been told it was a maitnence plauge.I also think we should get El Dorado,on wiki it says those types of rides ar no longer available.
March 31, 200818 yr I have a question from my last post on here,If you look at the date of when BEAST1979 post that it says "mar 30 2034",why does it say 2034?
March 31, 200818 yr Perhaps a look into the future? I really don't know I rode Double Loop and I stand by what I said.
