May 4, 200818 yr It has been confirmed that the Knievel jump at Kings Island on May 24th, 2008 at 7:00pm will in fact be a world record-breaking attempt. If he can surpass his old record of 321ft, it will be the longest ramp-to-ramp jump ever successfully completed! Remember that this not to be missed historical event is FREE with park admission!
May 5, 200818 yr Yes, I would certainly call this a not to be missed event. If it is a miss, it will be sad indeed....
May 5, 200818 yr I was saying to an employee at Guest Relations on Saturday, that if he biffs, it will be a sad day. Either way KI will be in the news. Hopefully for a successful jump.
May 5, 200818 yr I hope it's a successful jump too!!! Last year we watched a pilot suffer a fatal crash at the Dayton Air Show. I would hate for my kids to see something like that two years in a row.....
May 5, 200818 yr Noting is more American than the debut of Indiana Jones IV and record breaking Robbie Knievel jump in the same weekend.
May 5, 200818 yr The big question is where will this jump be done. Is it going to be done (my assumption) in the parking lot like his dad did. And if so, imagine how much of the parking lot will be used up just for this event. The parking situation is hopfully being addressed for this. I would like to see this. Does anyone know what time it might be done? Has KI or the Kenevil camp released any info?

And yes, part of the parking lot will be used (in the premium parking). And of course the park is addressing the parking situation....they expect a lot of people to want to see this!
May 5, 200818 yr Did anyone catch the Evel Knievel story on the history channel yesterday? I never knew this but this will technically be Robbie second time riding at Kings Island. Robbie warmed up the crowd the first time by doing wheelies before the jump.
