margjack
We are visiting KI for the first time and will have our 4 year old and 11 year old sons. Does KI allow "passing off" on rides? That is, can we all wait in line, then my husband and 11 year old ride, then my husband stays with the 4 year old while I ride with the 11 year old - without having to wait in line for a second time? Also, besides the Nickelodeon stuff, will the 4 year old be entertained?
TOPGUN1993
Don't forget about the Carousel, Train, and Eiffel Tower.
fan of beast
I have a 3 yr old grand daughter that is extremely amused at the island. she will ride anything that she's allowed on. her fave seems to be swiper's sweepers. we have to pry her out when the ride is over. The Interpreter
What you are asking about is does Kings Island do what is called a "parent swap." I believe that they do....can someone here confirm?
KI-ORIG-EMP
What you are asking about is does Kings Island do what is called a "parent swap." I believe that they do....can someone here confirm? Yes that is correct. One parent rides then the other parent rides. Just go to Guest Relations to confirm. Mike

BoddaH1994
There's a lot to do at KI with a 4 year old. I'm sure you've heard that Kings Island won the Golden Ticket Award for having the greatest kids area in the world yet again. There's also 6 live shows, shopping, etc. Some things that may be of interest to you: (from the park map) Parent Swap: One parent of a small child waits in line, both ride! For more information or to obtain a Parent Swap Pass, please visit Guest Relations. Kid Track: Kings Island offers a service to quickly reunite separated children and parents with cell phones. Please sign up for the service at Guest Relations, Baby Care, or Boomerang Bay Guest Relations. Basically with Kid Track, the people at GR put your cell phone number on a wrist band so if your 4 year old gets lost, any park official can contact you immediately. It's a great service for someone so young.

I use to work in Nick, and a small kid had run away from his parents and I saw him run by and ran after him. That was fun! So a secretary guard and I caught up to him and I didn't know what his wist band was for but the guard did and he called the number on the band and the kids parents were a few 100 feet back or so. That's the only bad think the bands do look a lot like the height bands, but they are a different texture and color!
italianchef
I am father of a 4-year old, too, and I assure you that Nickelodeon Universe has a plethora of rides for your child. My son rides Fairly Odd Coaster, Little Bill's Giggle Coaster, Phantom Flyers, and nearly everything there. Best regards, Italian Chef
BavarianBeatle
I agree. I took my kids when they were 2 and 3 and they had a ball!!!!!!! Nick U is wonderful for children and now that we have to walk through it to get to the traditional first ride on The Beast, I am always reminded how far I've come, and how KI was when I was a kid, etc..... It is the first step in a lifetime of memories..........

Cortney
Wow this helps for when I go with my 6 y/o niece cause there will be rides she can't go on, but I remember my cousin and her son standing in line with me on the rides that I wanted to go on and they just walked across to the other side and she stayed with him.
