Racer1972
I rode BLSC on April 20, May9, and June 15, and all of the times i rode it i t did not spray water. They also removed the "you will get wet" signs
Kawana
Yeah, the spray has not been working all year. I wonder if it's a maintenance issue or maybe a money issue.
Thrill_Biscuit
I think I remember it working on May 24th, but it was weak, like the helicopter scene has been lately.
Guest rcfreak339
I knew the effects would stop working and the BLSC eventully. The first day it was opend and I rode it and saw all those effects I said to myself "That wont last long..."
tigellinus
I'm glad the spray doesn't work anymore!!! It would cause my glasses to get unnecessarily wet IMO!
iChase
I didn't they they would be working for long either. The ride is pretty disappointing lately.
flightoffear1996
Wet? Come on it was a miserble drop or two. The ride sucks without and the splash is not a money issue how much does it really cost to run them pumps? The pumps are just broken. I think the spash down for that ride looks tackey and the ride needs an overall of just about everything the park underbugdeted the ride and could have should have been much better. Cool concept just not enough funds to make it work.

Methinks that it may have something to do with recent plumbing work nearby. . .
The Interpreter
And not only that, but as one who wears spectacles, allow me to assure you the mist/water was far more than a miserable drop or two. I, for one, find mist extremely annoying on rides. Drench me if you wish, but it makes me mad as a wet hen to be misted. And yes, that includes Afterburn at Carowinds, which is otherwise a dandy ride.

That is only one part of the ride, which lasts only a few seconds at best. I always enjoy the ride "splashdown" or no.
TechAA
I believe that the splashdown was not taken out because of damaged pumps or funding, but because of the overall longterm damage being caused to the trains such as damage to the fiberglass shells and head rests. iChase
But I wouldn't think there would be much damage at all. The train barely, if at all, gets wet.

MarketingExpress
The ride has always had a problem with hard water marks being left on the fiber glass of the cars. It got so bad the first year of operation they tried to buffer the marks out, and while it worked for about a day or two, less than a week later the marks were back. Cory Butcher
...and the track and trains sit in rains, sometimes for a day, sometimes for days.... But, Rain hardly ever contains large amounts of chlorine, and harmful mineral deposits are only found in large quantities very rarely in rain. They can be however carried from all different sources as water travels through various pipe, and land mediums. Just look at the Warehouse/Show area of the ride, those water effects have been off for about 2 years now. Just look at how ugly the area looks, it is so rusty up there! dare-to-fly
Just look at the Warehouse/Show area of the ride, those water effects have been off for about 2 years now. Just look at how ugly the area looks, it is so rusty up there! I wondered if anyone was going to bring those up. I thought they were cool the first time, and then I got annoyed with being spritsed. The area up there is rusty, but I think it looks like it's old and abandoned, which sort of adds to the theming for me. You choose how you look at things!
