geaugafan2013
I have been to all except for the ones in California cause those are to far to drive to and everyone i have been to the security sucks. Oh yeah weren't you supposed to stop people from smoking in public places well the security up at Cedar Point wasn't doing such a good job at it. I personally have no problem smoking in public if its outside but its the law now. And when im talking about smoking at Cedar Point they weren't in designated smoking areas. I cant remember if i saw any at Kings Island but if i did i would definatley tell you about it!
RollerNut
It isn't worth getting banned from Carowinds for. Especially since you know so much about being banned from Carowinds. Thanks for reminding me, as if it is bad enough remembering it everyday. I would like for it not to be brought up as I would like to go back when I finish serving my time. I was never a normal visitor, I have always had a special attachment to Carowinds that no other person, place, or item will ever replace. I could serve my time forever, but still wake up everyday and be attached to the place. I may not be allowed to visit the park in person, but a picture a day keeps me happy enough. No one knows how much it hurts knowing that I can't go, and everyone around me can. People have told me to disguise myself and go, to sue the park, and to just go. I always tell them, I would rather sit here, cry, and serve my undeserved time then risk making my time in hell longer. No matter what I will always be a Carowinds enthusiast, and that will never change. ~Roller"My screenname fits me"Nut

If you have certain examples we'll certainly listen to them, but making such general statements regarding many people just is not going to be let go. <As You Probably Have Seen, Already>

iChase
^That's true. Legally no one will get in trouble for smoking outside the designated smoking areas.

Vortexlover2
yeah, there are a few things that security over looks sometimes... but thats at every park, not just Cedar Fair. There are a lot of policies that I generally think are total BS, and obviously the security does sometimes too because they don't enforce them all the time. The Interpreter
Contrary to some's opinions, it is management, and not security, that has the ultimate discretion as to what park policies are zealously enforced and which are not. If security makes choices that are unacceptable to management, management will find new security.

If security makes choices that are unacceptable to management, management will find new security. And ultimately, most security are employees of any given entity. Granted, some times police officers will patrol a park but for the most part they are full employees of a park.
Thrill_Biscuit
It's Chuck Norris and Chris Hansen rolled into one. Bravo to the guy who used force to try to prevent the escape of a fleeing felon. That guy was standing up for the safety of the kids he just watched get assaulted by that creep. I don't care if he gets sued or whatever, he's a hero. The Interpreter
Perhaps not. If he is a wealthy hero, I'm quite certain he would have insurance to cover him in just such a situation.
Cortney
I was at the water park at Carowinds yesterday and I saw more security personal in there than I did through out the park it seemed like. Everytime I turned around there was another one walking by me. I didn't see anything being there yesterday, but I was watching behind my back. Thrill_Biscuit
Wait a minute... This guy's going to get dragged into a court of law... to be sued by a guy who will have to testify under oath... that he was punched by a guy... who accused him of a criminal act against a child... where there were other witnesses... in broad daylight... in a court of law... under oath....... hmmmmm... I'd have to wonder just what kind of lawyer this guy is going to hire.
The Interpreter
Simple...only one he can PAY for with his own money, or one who is so good or thinks s/he is so good that s/he can win such a case under such circumstances and collect a contingent fee. Sigh.
Thrill_Biscuit
"Lionel Hutz" comes to mind. JUDGE: This verdict is written on a coctail napkin... and it still says "Gilty".... and "Guilty" is spelled wrong!"
WooferBearATL
Perhaps not. If he is a wealthy hero, I'm quite certain he would have insurance to cover him in just such a situation. Certainly under even the most liberal policy a deliberate action such as this would be excluded. Simple...only one he can PAY for with his own money, or one who is so good or thinks s/he is so good that s/he can win such a case under such circumstances and collect a contingent fee. Sigh. Come on man, if the guy that punched him is collectible, don't you think that pretty much any attorney will take this? Honestly, this is a slam dunk for a civil trial. If someone wants to do it, they will push the envelope. It is much like DUI. Most people don't get caught driving intoxicated. Is it your local police department's fault that people are stupid enough to drink to an excess and then get behind the wheel? Hardly. Smokers in the park, namely in line, will do things so that it is difficult to be caught. Next time, why don't you take matters into your own hands and report these rule-breakers. Just think, if you report enough of them, you can be deputized! We will call you Deputy Geauga Lake! Then you can look like this:
