Does any of them carry guns? if they do, do they have arrest powers. what is the level of training. i am concerned because i will be bringing children to the park and i want to know how well trained the security is . Dane Posted August 6, 2008 Share Posted August 6, 2008 There are different levels of security from assistants to full fledged park police. They train with area police and go through all the same training that regular city police go through and then some, depending on their job title. Knowing many of them personally, they all take their job very seriously and strive to be as prepared as possible for anything that may occur. The officer you saw with the gun was probably a police officer. Kings Island has both a Kings Island Police Force with armed officers that, as Dane said, are trained and have the same powers as your every day Police officer, as well as it's own private security force which is unarmed.
