BavarianBeatle
Here is my KIC Day saga (abbreviated) so far: 1) When KIC Day was first announced, I had plans to go to a wedding with a female friend (nothing more), so I thought I wouldn't be able to go 2) She got back together with the exboyfriend, so I was let off the hook 3) I bought 2 tickets to KIC Day, planning to attend with another friend, while my two children spent the day with my family, which they agreed to 4) My family infomed me yesterday that the "whole family" (which, somehow, doesn't include us...long story) is invited to my brother's house in PA that weekend. 5) Now I'm stuck with two tickets and three people. If anyone has an extra ticket that can't be used, please PM me so I can take my kids on Saturday, otherwise, we can't go to the events. Any help would be appreciated, or maybe God didn't put me on this Earth to attend this event.......
BoddaH1994
I wish we could make an exception to sell you an extra ticket, but that's simply not an option. I would do what you can to come to the event. There will be excitement around every corner... in addition to what's been posted. You'll really kick yourself for not going... Avatar
I maybe able to help you. I bought an extra ticket, my step son stopped by yesterday so I offered him the ticket he said maybe and would let me know by tomorrow. My take it’s a 50/50 chance he’ll go . so I will follow through with him and let you know.
tigellinus
^^Step son?!? You learn something new about a KIC member every day!! But that is your biological daughter, right?
Avatar
Tigelinus – thanks for asking yes Miss Rae is biologically my daughter and Travis may not be biologically mine but he is my son in every other way. In fact he hardly ever calls his mother or biological father (which drives them crazy) but does come over and calls me on a regular basis. He is now 23 and just moved back to town this past weekend. That means more visits which is great for Miss Rae because she loves to hang-out with him. Below is a picture that as a parent of both is heart warming. RailRider
Love the bottom pic, but Ive got to ask, how many drinks did you have under your belt at that point? Somebody looks a little glassy eyed... Reminds me I need a drink...
Avatar
I don’t drink much these days so making my eyes glassy does not take much, it actually is a combination of factors in that picture; we had about four hours of sleep followed by a long full day at a Disney park then dinner, also the red eye reduction picture control didn’t help and to answer your question that was my second one. He wanted to show me that after turning 21 and being away from collage he could handle my favorite of a straight up chilled Gin martini. I haft to admit it was a nice time and a safe opportunity. RailRider
I had a feeling it was from a Florida park, you had that Ive been in the sun at a theme park all day look on your face. Biggest mistake I ever made drinking was enjoying a few frozen livations at the Frozen Desert in Jurasic Park at IOA. Immediately after a few fine drink I went back to back walkons on Duelling Dragons. Heat, Dehydration, Alchol, and Dueling Dragons = Worshiping the porcelin god. Nice drink choice, do you like the Bombay Sapharie?
Avatar
do you like the Bombay Sapharie? “Bingo” or in other words “that’s as good as it gets” I noticed you changed your photo avatar are those from the China Olympics?

I knew you had good taste. That stuff is definately an acquired taste and you dont enjoy it till your second, but I am a prould member of the club. No those are actually real fireworks. That would be the nightime show at Cinderellas Castle.
Avatar
So true I typically sip the first one and drink the second/last one. To bad and sorry to hear you are not going to the event. Aww I see the castle now you might consider enlarging it a bit, I liked your last one too. We most usually watch wishes from the rose garden
RailRider
Yeah me too, definately going to miss out, but I will be making a trip to HH on a Saturday so I can get a full day in. Just with the new house, the old house, the new job and vacation at the end of the month Ive got some things going on. That picture is from the Rose Garden actually. I will enlarge it, on my list of things to do. What was my last avatar? I forget?

Avatar
Absolutely, you know I have never been to a haunt at Kings Island we always come over to do the Nick-o-Treat activities but can not stay because of our daughter. So this year it will happen and I would love to met up with you and tour the haunts then afterwards have that Bombay. I don’t know when you plan to go but I will be gone through Sunday October the 5th. So if that works for you, sounds great to me.

I've never been to a haunt either (Up until opening day this year, I'd never been to KI before period.) But you can bet vital parts of your anatomy that I'll be there this year
