What side is the station on? Why is the queue on the other side?

The station will be at the bottom of the lift where all of the kicker wheels are, the other side is to house the transfer track and trains.

Some awesome pictures once again. I am just amazed at the size of the lift hill segments being erected. Absolutely huge...

Color me as continuing to be...not skeptical, but just not completely blown away...yet!! I mean, the lift, while growing and getting bigger, isn't looking nearly as tall as Behemoth or even Magnum at this point!! While I continue to keep the faith, it's just not looking very high to me right now.

Yeah it doesn't look as high as those 2 because its not complete yet. Do you think they are going to change the plans overnight and only build a coaster 150ft tall because thats what they feel like and try and pass it as 230' tall? Seriously you amaze me.

Heres a simple question for you. What kind of crane is Clifford?

Answer. Manitowoc Crawler Crane, now their full line of Crawlers have a minimum boom height of 200' depending on model, oh wait that gives credit to what you say. But if you look at any web cam picture of Clifford you will notice there is a fixed jib on the boom, giving the boom depending on model a new boom height anywhere from 240' foot and up.

Wait if your theory is right why would they use a fixed jib boom to make the crane taller, seems unecessary. Wait maybe it is because the statistics are accurate, go figure they are telling the truth.

Your skepticism is misplaced and bordering on ignorance at this point.

I think what he say is that the hill does not look as impresive at this time considering the angle of the camera torwards the hill. Not that the measurements are incorrect.

Shocked, because you have questioned the stats on almost every other aspect of this coaster.

74degree first drop, 193' tall second hill and on and on.

So because the lift hill doesn't look tall yet, you are still keeping the faith? Keeping the faith about what?

Nice try to backtrack, but with your previous posts regarding DB I dont buy it.

Call me Skeptical...

I mean, I'll be at KI this Saturday to see things up close and personal, but I just haven't been as awe struck yet about the lift like I thought I would be, and like I am when I see Magnum from afar or Behemoth.

My first trip to Canada's Wonderland this year I stayed at the Courtyard by Marriott 2 exits away from CW (3 if you take Major Mac), and when we got to the hotel it was nighttime, and when I woke up that morning I threw open the curtains just to check out the weather and guess what I saw?! Yep...Behemoth!! Seriously, from over a mile away!!

Now I know CW is on flat ground and Behemoth is on flat ground, and KI is not, but you can see it from far away and many places and it's very impressive to see, and yet Diamondback just doesn't seem to measure up as it looks right now.

You haven't seen it in person yet, so how can you honestly compare the two? They both have a 230' lift and DB will drop at 74degrees and Behemoth drops at 75. If anything they look similar. Still hard time understanding your doubts if this is truly what you are doubting and not the overall statistics of this ride.

Thats fine if you want to second guess ride stats, but dont backtrack when someone calls you on it. Stick to your guns...

^^Well... what exactly does this 74 degree angle mean? Does the drop go inward? Or is it angled forward?

74 degress from horizontal. 90 degrees being completely vertical. Therefore the the first drop will angle downward at 74 degrees, 16 degrees shy of vertical.

There I go again double posting

Realy looking great.

Hope everyone got a laugh out of the RickRoll. Had a bad day at work and a good RR makes me laugh. Hope it brought a little humor to your day.

I thought that the first drop was actually Vertical.

And the main reason it is going up so fast is because look at how big the sections of lift hill track are.

I can't wait to see what they do today!

Pretty close to verticle, 74 degrees. I think they over dramatize it a little bit in the renderings.

Actually 74 Degrees is pretty darn steep. 16 Degrees from vertical, that's steep.
