skaterboy22101 Posted March 8, 2009 Posted March 8, 2009 Ooooh Ahhhhh. Nice captures of the train cresting those hills! That is my favorite picture

Beast1979 Posted March 8, 2009 Posted March 8, 2009 What I like is that these B&M Trains actually look like trains, with individual cars and of nice length. The other Beemers look like short nubs going along the track.
Blake Posted March 8, 2009 Posted March 8, 2009 Pics Roster Tails on Splash Down Plus Train on Lift Hill. Putting the third train on track! looking like they are going 3 trains now. To be honest I really don't like the look of the B&M floorless trains http://www.rcdb.com/ig2169.htm?picture=22 something just doesn't look right. I do have a question though. How do they load people on to a floorless train?

pyrocoasterkid Posted March 8, 2009 Posted March 8, 2009 The floors are built into the station building, and retract before the train can leave. This is Griffon's station and how it works, which is similar to all floorless':

Go Browns Posted March 8, 2009 Posted March 8, 2009 Man I love that JOJO Roll on Hydra. I've never had the pleasure of riding it but the idea is just so cool. On topic for DB I can't wait to see a video of that splashdown and I really can't wait to hear what it sounds like when it hits the water
Racerrider Posted March 8, 2009 Posted March 8, 2009 ^LOL the floors on Dominator scared me to death when I was at geauga Lake in '07......as for the D-Back trains, are ours floorless too? EDIT: Blake, what up with the quad-post? You can edit any post you made by pushing the Edit Post Icon on the bottom of the Post
coasterguy15 Posted March 8, 2009 Posted March 8, 2009 There is a tornado warning in southern indiana and they are still testing. Also, an optical illusion. The train is in the spalshdown, but there is no spalsh? I thought it looked pretty cool. (I know that in the picture, the scoops just entered the water)
Racerrider Posted March 8, 2009 Posted March 8, 2009 ^maybe they're about to shut off the ride, It would be a shame if the trains slid off the track in a thunderstorm before they even opened it! Hope they have roller-coaster insurance!

Ohiocoasterman Posted March 8, 2009 Posted March 8, 2009 I know lots of pictures have been posted I think this one is a really good shot though
corn4ahead Posted March 8, 2009 Posted March 8, 2009 They are putting the trains back in the shed (the cam is actually working for me today) Look, 06:06:06....weird
skaterboy22101 Posted March 8, 2009 Posted March 8, 2009 I know lots of pictures have been posted I think this one is a really good shot though thats the best webcam shot ive seen so far! good job!
Diamondback FOF Posted March 8, 2009 Posted March 8, 2009 It has finally started raining up at Kings Island, and on the webcam I can see the middle and left train are in the storage shed, but I can't tell if the third train is in the shed. Edit: Just got another shot of the webcam and it appears the third train is in the shed.
Diamondback FOF Posted March 8, 2009 Posted March 8, 2009 An hour after testing ended and it started raining, the sun is once again shining up at the Island. It is strange how quickly the weather conditions can change.
Blake Posted March 9, 2009 Posted March 9, 2009 I was out to eat with my Family and I saw A train stuck on the MCBR.
corn4ahead Posted March 9, 2009 Posted March 9, 2009 yeah i think they stop them at the MCBR or on the lift when they are putting trains in the shed or taking them out.
Jasper Posted March 9, 2009 Posted March 9, 2009 The splashdown shot is incredible i cannot wait to see this thing up close and personal. Have they started on building the entrance queue area and everything like that yet?
Kawana Posted March 9, 2009 Posted March 9, 2009 The splashdown shot is incredible i cannot wait to see this thing up close and personal. Have they started on building the entrance queue area and everything like that yet? Yep. It looks like the concrete has been poured for the queue area directly off the midway. Aside from that, who knows?
mikejenkins1 Posted March 9, 2009 Posted March 9, 2009 It was amazing the number of runs they made with 3 trains yesterday. I would say they are easily ahead of schedule. Of course I wonder when they will be full training the staff. From the fast turnaround on the cars, I would say they were not doing a seat up/down each time the cars came to the station. Can not wait for opening day.
Fear the Offseason Posted March 9, 2009 Posted March 9, 2009 Looks like they are going to be working on the entrance queue today. Can't wait to see how that's going to look on the inside.
mikejenkins1 Posted March 9, 2009 Posted March 9, 2009 What are they doing by the splashdown / final helix?
