Jasper Posted August 28, 2008 Posted August 28, 2008 Glad to see updates today didnt really get around to looking at the webcam yesterday but today it looks awesome.
Beast1979 Posted August 28, 2008 Posted August 28, 2008 Yea they put up that "A" support, which is just about as high as they can build with that crane. It's not new though, they installed it on Monday.
Jasper Posted August 28, 2008 Posted August 28, 2008 Are you talking about the little support they have right in front of the already built track?
Beast1979 Posted August 28, 2008 Posted August 28, 2008 no the Big "A" Support, this one: It was added on Monday or tuesday.
Beast1979 Posted August 28, 2008 Posted August 28, 2008 yea that one was intalled a few days ago too. I wonder when vertical construction will start in the woods?
Beast1979 Posted August 29, 2008 Posted August 29, 2008 so I am assuming that the "No work on Fridays" thing is still in place?
tigellinus Posted August 29, 2008 Posted August 29, 2008 ^^Yep! BUT...I have seen plenty of people walking around all of the different/various sites, including seeing some trucks driving around the sites as well...I hope this is prep/planning stuff work for things to start really taking off even more soon!!
Beast1979 Posted August 29, 2008 Posted August 29, 2008 I have seen a couple of trucks go by in the back area of the woods, with many things on them. You think they might contain Track/Supports?
tigellinus Posted August 29, 2008 Posted August 29, 2008 ^^Not likely...track weighs thousands of pounds!! Now, contruction materials/supplies on the other hand?!?....
Beast1979 Posted August 29, 2008 Posted August 29, 2008 I'm not talking about pickups, I'm talking a few flat-beds.
Jasper Posted August 29, 2008 Posted August 29, 2008 ^Haha i can only imagine my 1999 S-10 hauling around a massive piece of B&M track. Talk about being weighed down in the back.
Beast1979 Posted August 29, 2008 Posted August 29, 2008 Yea that'd be hilarious. So was anyone at KI tonight? If so if you could post some pics that'd be nice.
fanofki Posted August 29, 2008 Posted August 29, 2008 Is Kings Island open tonight or do you mean employees?
Beast1979 Posted August 29, 2008 Posted August 29, 2008 I mean, wait, It's Friday? darnet, I thought it was Saturday.
fanofki Posted August 29, 2008 Posted August 29, 2008 I mean, wait, It's Friday? darnet, I thought it was Saturday. Yeah, I already made that mistake, too, because I didn't have school today (4 day weekend!!).
Beast1979 Posted August 29, 2008 Posted August 29, 2008 I don't have school monday, I just could've sworn It was Saturday!
fanofki Posted August 29, 2008 Posted August 29, 2008 I don't have school monday, I just could've sworn It was Saturday! Unfortunately it isn't because that just means one more day until Labor Day, which is when I am going to KI. Let's hope for shorter than 45 min on Adventure Express.
Beast1979 Posted August 29, 2008 Posted August 29, 2008 Tonight is pride night. Well anyone there Send back pics!
Beast1979 Posted August 31, 2008 Posted August 31, 2008 I'm off to the Island I'll be back around 12:30 with updates!
Beast1979 Posted August 31, 2008 Posted August 31, 2008 UPDATE! Note: You Really Need to be Here to see how tall that is, it has to be at least 50-60 Feet High Like I told You, Huge. When they Said Steep Incline Ahead they weren't joking. Note: Almost all Lift Hill Supports are on Site. I would bet that's their goal for this week.
iChase Posted August 31, 2008 Posted August 31, 2008 Wow! Awesome progress. The angle of the lift looks like it'll be really steep. This is great.
DropZone99 Posted August 31, 2008 Posted August 31, 2008 Great pictures, the semi holding some supports looks like a little toy truck.
Beast1979 Posted August 31, 2008 Posted August 31, 2008 Yea you really have to be there to see how huge it really is, and because it was so big I doubt they would haul it all the way over from the Son of Beast just to let it sit there, I bet we're gonna see some serious construction soon.
