Ki Man
From what I see, it reminds be of Apollo's Chariot coming back from the MCBR. Dipping down into the ravine, then shooting back up for airtime!
firehawkboy
Ah, ok. That seems like a perfect place for it!
tigellinus
I'm not disagreeing with you one bit. I would LOVE for DB to get done before winter strikes, but in my opinion, I don't think it will be done by Thanksgiving. Weren't they supposed to be working on the lift last week?? I'm hoping they start the lift hill soon. Especially since I've seen two pieces of lift track near the splash down. I think there might have been a little confusion about the lift hill situation....but as others have pointed out, if the huge crane needed to complete that work needs to be in the middle of Rivertown's midway, AND doing such would create great damage to the midway (not that it won't get repaired), then that work will have to come after KI closes Nov. 2nd, sadly... As for the on-ride photo position....while I would love a splashdown pic, keep in mind the pic shot is very tight and likely wouldn't get much of the water affect anyway (which could also be printed on the on-ride photo card), but also keep in mind, unfortunately, parks are fairly lame and uncreative with most of their on-ride camera positions, opting for ease with placement, a safe spot for protection, and a "slow" part of the ride for better resolution pics (braked areas), but we can hope! Behemoth's on-ride photo spot (end of helix) was uninspired at best, and usually the left-side rider would be partially cut-off from the camera view... pkifreakhogg
Are they working today?
firehawkboy
^Eh, yeah. I'm seeing very little movement right now. Mainly movement in the station area. I saw a truck with a lift piece drive in one of those "rare picture" shots. I don't know where it went.

Beast1979
On the right edge of the splashdown view you can see wires from "Clifford" reaching to the ground, nost likely picking up a piece of track or supports.

pyrocoasterkid
The huge 200 foot tall red crane is moving around. Unless I'm wrong, the crane is a 300ft crane... Being that the ride is 230ft, the crane would need to be taller than that...
flightoffear1996
I wonder once the ride opens if they keep the webcam up.
firehawkboy
^I'm sure they will. It's be a hassle to take it back down. They spent the money to put it up, so might as well keep it there. They need to put more aerial cams up of the park.

It's sad that we can barely see it now, but look on the bright side, it's that much closer to being done. but we can still see a tad bit of the hill contruction, if they ever start on it.
