Certainly a possibility. I'm sure there are cranes out there that work under almost any condition but when you can flatten it and make it easier.... why not?

Is this thing going to have a relatively steep incline or is it going to be like typical B&M inclines which is about at i dont know 25 degrees.

Wait a Sec, I just noticed something, it may be nothing but then again

In this pic Here:

You see the yellow supports at the bottom. A couple of small ones.

But if you look at this pic:

Waitasec.jpg

You see that there is an extra fat one. Are they preparing to get those ones up or something?

There is also a small one missing.

From this angle it looks pretty steep, It's going to crest the lift hill before it reaches the midway:

They just put up one of the small ones. The camera timing was off and I got a glimpse of it.

Well the crane has been well out of view for about an hour, but it isn't in view of the spashdown area. My guess is they are working on some of the lift supports now and will do the splashdown tomorrow.

Hard to tell what's been done today just by looking at the webcam.

Since the park is closed, we're not getting updates from inside the park. Now is when it would be nice to see official construction updates from the park. It's been 3 weeks since the announcement, and no updates to the blog or construction gallery on the Diamondback site. :(

Hopefully we'll see some nice pics after this coming weekend.

It looks to me like they are using the boom lifts around the curve into the station and there are a lot of cars moving back in the woods, besides that the crane hasn't even moved.

I also got a good view of the area when the camera's timing was off, and was able to see that they had put up this support:

I happened to see a semi backing into the area in front of The Beast earlier today. Not sure what was on the bed because it was just out of the frame, but it didn't look like it was carrying track or supports. It wasn't a flat bed trailer. My first thought was possibly shipping parts of a crane. ;)

I've been on the Internet Channel of my Wii and keep it on the webcam page. Walk into my room and BAM I can see the construction progress.

I think they are continuing to work on the area near the station before expanding. Again it seems they are working on catwalks.

Not exactly sure, but it looks like the stuff behind the fence we saw when taking the construction tour on KIC Day. That looks like Adena's construction trailer.

So I got a wide view of this. I'm wondering something here:

What is all the stuff at the top of the screen between the Crypt and The Beast Enterence?

WideView.jpg

I don't see anything unusual.

Edit: post 1000.

Well watching the webcam today and with the way the sun is shining, you can see they have errected more yellow supports because it is casting a shadow like the smaller yellow support in the frame.

I could really go for the zoomed out web cam shot right now, with it all zoomed in I cant tell how many lift supports they have up. Wonder why they have gone back to the zoomed in shot??

^^^^Congrats on 1K, iChase!

I saw a huge, yellow crane coming down from 63 (at LCI) towards KI (it kept going when I turned at "JoMart"). Don't know if it's part of DB construction or not.

I checked the webcam, did ANYTHING happen today?

idk. probally out in the wods.

Whats a wod?

I can assume that nothing happend in the Swan Lake area because the crane hasn't moved an inch.
