Gordon Bombay Posted November 1, 2008 Posted November 1, 2008 ^KI's Don Helbig dropped a hint that The Beast line may be receiving a face lift for 2009 when he informed Ryan (Boddah1994) to let users know to bring their cameras and get photographs of The Beast entrance before the season was over. Personally I'd rather not see any snake exhibits or snake skin in the queue line. . . . I HATE SNAKES. Quote

Personally, I am upset with the trees being destroyed, but I understand things must change. I just hope they are replaced elsewhere in the park. Quote

If you look closely, you'll be able to tell that some trees will be making a return visit to The Beast's plaza area. After visiting the park on the 1st, I could see KI getting rid of the "Beast Canyon" entrance, and placing a new entrance very near to the ORP stand. It seems very logical to me to redo it that way. Gordon Bombay Posted November 9, 2008 Posted November 9, 2008 I wish they'd get rid of The Beast Canyon buildings, those things look so ugly. Quote

I HATE SNAKES. .....you're riding a coaster themed to the Diamondback RattleSNAKE. The coaster train is themed to a giant SNAKE. You're, in essence, riding a giant SNAKE. Just to help you with your hatred of snakes, Indy. Quote

CoastersRZ Posted November 10, 2008 Posted November 10, 2008 Well, look for the trees and pavement in the final helix area of Diamondback to become a grass filled area, and not concrete. Quote

Just watch the off ride animation atDiamondback's site and when it hits the final helix, you'll be able to tell. Quote
The Interpreter Posted November 10, 2008 Posted November 10, 2008 And what you will be able to tell is an artist's conception. Nothing more.... Quote
Kawana Posted November 11, 2008 Posted November 11, 2008 And what you will be able to tell is an artist's conception. Nothing more.... True, but so far we've seen the "artist's conception" for the rest of the ride, and that has been fairly accurate, no? Quote
The Interpreter Posted November 11, 2008 Posted November 11, 2008 Yes, but....the theming areas around a ride and how it is landscaped are often the least accurate portions of any artist conception. Accurate at the time, yes....but these are the places that often suffer when what seems to be the almost inevitable budget overruns or funding shortages hit.... Quote
Kawana Posted November 11, 2008 Posted November 11, 2008 Point taken. Time will tell what will happen or not happen. Quote

tigellinus Posted November 21, 2008 Posted November 21, 2008 ^^What's funny, is my prediction is NO music!! Yes, Behemoth has none, but also consider...Firehawk has no music, and most everything else that does at KI is by virtue of former owner's TV's... The fact still remains that CP is CP (with all of their queue music), and things like simple queues, splashdown landscaping that does NOT compete with Busch, and no queue music are easy things to save nickles and sustain budgets... Quote
RailRider Posted November 21, 2008 Posted November 21, 2008 ^ I wont argue about most of that, but the Busch splashdown landscaping is fifty fifty. SheiKra is very nice with the rock work, but Griffon is nothing more than a pool with a walkway next to it. I hope we see something similar to SheiKra, but Im not complaining either way. Quote
JAHill Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 ^ All we can do is hope. The construction blog says they want the Splashdown to look like the renderings. Quote
CoastersRZ Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 I`m fairly certain that Cedar Fair installed speakers in Firehawk`s queue to play music. And many of the queue TVs have begun to disappear. Quote
