Dane Posted August 28, 2008 Posted August 28, 2008 http://www.pointbuzz.com/newsstory.aspx?id=1283 Edit: Website now up: http://www.halloweekends.com/ Quote
RailRider Posted August 28, 2008 Posted August 28, 2008 Looks interesting. Kind of shocked only 3 haunted houses, but CP gets such big crowds the lines for those can be crazy. They have The Beast Fright Zones around and with 5 this year will be great. Cant wait to see Terror Island, ARRRRRRR! Quote
markalan Posted August 28, 2008 Posted August 28, 2008 I'm excited about Terror Island too. Will be wild to be walking through a scare zone with Millennium Force flying by overhead. I'm also surprised to see Club Blood at Cedar Point. Quote
teenageninja Posted August 28, 2008 Posted August 28, 2008 Im not, but I can see us getting something like Corn Stalkers where WWC is. Quote
CoastersRZ Posted August 28, 2008 Posted August 28, 2008 I think KI will continue to utilize the WWC exit as a location for a haunt as opposed to using the actual trough of WWC. And keep in mind that the name of the CornSTALKERs scare zone originated at Kings Island, before the purchase by Cedar Fair. So its cool that they liked that theme enough to redo a haunt at Cedar Point with that same name! Quote
Dane Posted August 28, 2008 Author Posted August 28, 2008 ^Dont forget Club blood and Cornstalkes at Knotts too. BTW Knotts website is now up too. http://haunt.knotts.com/ Quote
RailRider Posted August 28, 2008 Posted August 28, 2008 I wonder if KI website will have the same look. Really like the look of the websites for KBF and CP Quote
gigacoaster2k Posted August 28, 2008 Posted August 28, 2008 I'm excited about Terror Island too. Will be wild to be walking through a scare zone with Millennium Force flying by overhead. When we rode MF Saturday, I saw vertical construction of some sort, to the right of the track as we were coming off the island toward the 169-foot hill. I only saw it for a second, but there is definitely something there. Quote
Guest TombraiderTy Posted August 28, 2008 Posted August 28, 2008 It seems like many CF parks are copying off KI and Knott's this year. Quote
LongLiveTheSmurfRide Posted August 28, 2008 Posted August 28, 2008 I wonder if KI website will have the same look. Really like the look of the websites for KBF and CP I was thinking the same thing. Both sites are pretty sweet. Quote
RingMaster Posted August 28, 2008 Posted August 28, 2008 Meh, I've seen better. Like this: http://www.halloweenhorrornights.com/orlando/index.html Quote
LongLiveTheSmurfRide Posted August 28, 2008 Posted August 28, 2008 Meh, I've seen better. Like this: http://www.halloweenhorrornights.com/orlando/index.html Yeah, that first page is pretty sweet. The rest is alright. But I'm just saying, the other two CF sites are much better than http://www.visitkingsisland.com/special/haunt/index.html Quote
Jasper Posted August 28, 2008 Posted August 28, 2008 Wow that website was pretty good. I love the video on the attractions page. Hopefully HH will get this same treatment. That guy in the mask with the big teeth that laughed so god was really good. Quote
raptor Posted August 28, 2008 Posted August 28, 2008 I've never been a fan of people walking up behind me and yelling in my ear, I find it more annoying than scarry, although I like halloween decor, but I love these kind of attractions because they make the ride lines shorter. Quote
The Interpreter Posted August 28, 2008 Posted August 28, 2008 At Kings Island, perhaps. Since the advent of Fright Fest, fall weekends at Great Adventure are now so crowded that lines for the major rides, yes rides, can easily be several hours. I am happy for the park, but I miss the days of riding again and again and again in cool fall weather. Quote
Beast1979 Posted August 29, 2008 Posted August 29, 2008 Well, I think it's cool that KI is putting an event like this on, and Rides do have shorter lines so It gets a thumbs up from me! Quote
