Beast1979
Every couple of hours my Signature dissapears. I check my controls and my signature is blank. So I have to retype and redo my Sig. which is no fun! Help? Problems? Advice?
The Interpreter
Perhaps it is because it exceeds ths size allowed in the terms of service? You should know your signature is so wide (and so long) that it makes those of us who use larger resolutions (to be able to see the purty pictures...it can't be the small print because we are old...no) scroll back and forth and back and forth and back and forth horizontally to read each single line of any and every page of posts that you post even once in. Moreover, your signature is getting so long, it takes up an entire page of text at a time for those of us with large resolutions. Sometimes, it is getting to the point that on many threads, between you and about four other users, 2/3 of the thread is your signatures. All of which we have seen before. AGAIN and AGAIN and AGAIN and AGAIN, since you are a frequent poster (not that there's much wrong with that, tee hee!) From the Terms of Service: Signatures- Please limit signature banners to 468x60 pixels or smaller. You may only have one signature banner image. (You may have two if you are in our Survivor game.) Also, please limit text to about 6 lines or less. Large signatures are not dial up friendly and are quite annoying. One small banner. Six Lines of text. Is that what YOU have? Also, didn't you (and FanofKI) say that you copied that banner from pointbuzz? How do you think Ronny would feel if someone copied his stuff and posted it elsewhere? I seem to remember you take great pictures? What if the Enquirer used them and didn't say they were yours, much less pay you for them? Just yesterday, Comcast put monthly bandwidth limitations in effect for broadband. This site has servers, too. Why transmit the same data over and over and over? I'm sure users would rather use their bandwidth to see movies, share music (hopefully legally), etc., than repeatedly download large signatures they have seen many, many times before. What value does it add? Perhaps it may even be time to disable signatures on this site. That'd be too bad, but excesses like yours cause such things. Too, if something I did kept disappearing over and over, I'd assume it is because I was violating the TOS. Have you checked your private messages? I've posted this publicly because *I* find these large signatures very, very, very, very annoying, and I know I am not the only one. I come here to exchange NEW information and read important, interesting, fun stuff. Finally, please don't tell me I can disable seeing ANY signatures in the control panel. I know that...most don't. And I shouldn't have to do that (and miss out on someone's link to their great website) because a few choose not to follow the rules that everyone else does. EDIT, 8:18 a.m.: I see now apparently a mod has yet again (or perhaps you have) modified your signature to make it compliant. Will it stay that way? Stay tuned. Beast1979
Well the Pointbuzz thing is gone and I think i'll just keep it the way it is to not screw up anything.
The Interpreter
For me, and I am sure many other but less verbose others, Thanks!
fanofki
OHHH. That's why mine was disappearing, too. I had no idea what the size it could be was. Thanks for the info, Terp. I guess I should have figured out something was wrong since mine disappeared. I have now changed my sig to fit perfectly within the 468 x 60 size as specified. The Interpreter
Yes, but it is still from pointbuzz....you might be better off choosing something else. They are quite proud of their artwork, and I doubt you have permission to use it...
CoastersRZ
FanofBeast, I have removed your signature once again, for the reasons The Interpreter has mentioned. You likely do not have permission to use that image as your signature. I`m sure as has been stated above, you would not like others using your work without first asking permission and then giving credit where credit is due. The Interpreter
And Millennium Force is not a B and M. It happens! Please know, both of you, no one is picking on you. Rules exist for reasons, and you are seeing some of them. Have a great day, enjoy the park, and on with the show!

I just didn't know the reason why my sig was disappearing, but it makes sense now. And yes, let's continue. Well actually I don't know if there really is anything to continue since this topic was about disappearing sigs and we have solved that problem. flightoffear1996
I think we should just do away with sigunaturs.

The Interpreter
Are we back to long, long signatures again? At least one of them takes up nearly the entire screen on my monitor...and appears many times in THIS thread. Six lines of text or less? Not to mention it contains many, many misspellings and grammatical errors. Sigh.
Gordon Bombay
Jackson, for the final time: reduce your signature to six lines or less or I can do it for you. It's ridiculously long and annoying to anyone reading a topic in which you post numerous times. Also, this is gonna be the last time I'll warn you on this rule, and I'm sorry to do this on the open forum but you seem to have ignored PM's on the matter: Spelling and grammar: You guys know how to write; I have no doubt about that. Please take the time to read over your posts before you post them to ensure that it's not confusing. This includes proper spelling, punctuation, and capitalization mainly. AND PLEASE DON'T YELL! If you're going to post as much as you do, you could at least grant us the courtesy of taking a few extra seconds to proofread.
