As the Snail Used to say: Have A Ha Happy Day!

One of the best attractions ever at KI. Too bad they did not keep it around, it really could have become a signature attraction for them in the way that some of Disney's dark rides are today.

Yeah,my mom said she loved it and it was a great ride.I wish I could have seen. :(

That and Gulliver's Tubs. I think that those are the two best themed rides that the park has ever done.

My favorite ride as a child was Gulliver's Tubs (or was it Gullivar's Travels, I can't remember). I loved this ride. I am not sure what it is, but for me there is just something special about water attractions that are themed such as Gullivars or Enchanted Voyage.

I dont think it would have as much popularity as you think it would have. Due to mainly the fact that the smurfs no longer air new episodes and half the kids today only know the cartoons that nickelodeon airs. If you even call those blasted things cartoons.

I am talking pre-Smurfs...the original Enchanted Voyage was the best!

When I was five years old and rode Enchanted Voyage the first time, I thought it was the most beautiful, incredible thing I had ever seen! :) I have no doubt that ride is responsible for my life-long love of themed attractions...

I was also five years old when I rode it for the first time and was completely mesmerized with it after that. Hopefully one day the park will put in a themed attraction that will measure up to it.

Yeah! What happened to cartoons? It's like they've been dumbed down in order to entertain an ever-decreasing attention span or something (or worse, an agenda) <_< . I'm going to hold on to the old HB, WB & Max Fleischer cartoons for my kids to watch.

Enchanted Voyage was awesome. Better than "It's a Small World" at WDW.

Same hear jz. One of the cool things was that every portion was just filled with activity. You could see something new each time you went through. The amazing thing was that the individual figures had very little down time.

The EV was very amazing. As a kid it was a little scary at times, but incredibly cool. I'd like to see some more pics of that ride...My folks and I always looked forward to the snail at the end. I giant TV, that sucked you in with mushrooms growing all around it...no wonder I turned out like this!

This website has several Kings Island flashback photos.

I was listening to the radio on my morning drive to work a couple weeks ago, and they were quizzing people about what this ride at Kings Island was called originally. The winner that called in said "Enchanted Voyage" and was right...then the DJ said "Do you know what it is now?" The girl said she didn't know, because she hadn't been to Kings Island in years. The DJ said "Phantom Theater", and then they all go "ooooh yeahhh, that's right!"

I tried calling in to the station to tell them how WRONG they were (I *wish* Phantom Theater was still there!) but never got through. <_<

^Wow, what radio station was that? So I'll know not to listen to it...

That's like the question I heard years and years ago on the radio, I think it was Warm 98. The question they asked was, "In what movie did Tom Cruise play an Air Force pilot?" The caller answered Top Gun, which they said was right. The problem is, Tom Cruise's Maverick was a NAVY pilot, not Air Force.
