DeLorean Rider
I've never heard of a private event running all night. Typically it's a 10-8 or 10-10 day. my moms company bought it out a couple years ago. it was from 12pm to 12pm Uh, no... There is no way the park would do this. The park would never expect it's associates to work something like this. Personally I worked ther "a couple years ago" and from no time from 2002-2007 I can assure you this did NOT happen. I'm sure many others who worked there before can also validate that this has never happened.
XGatorHead 8904
^ I worked there from 1989 to 2004, and not once in those 16 years did the park do it. So now between Delorean and me, we have 1989-2007 covered. Do we need to go farther back?
MarketingExpress
um......yea they do It would appear that you would need to tell us when this "event" happened. Plus the hours that you say that "your mom's company" bought out the park do not make sense. Why noon? Why not when the park typically opens at 10? KI-ORIG-EMP
The only time that the Park ever stayed open past midnight was during Grad Night. I worked there in 1973 when it was open to 6AM but the hours for Grad Night changed to only open till midnight. Grad Night was always open during Friday's in May before Memorial Day. But during my years at the park, no company ever had the Park open past 10:00 PM. I worked at the very first GE and P&G day private event and they never had it past 10:00 PM. I worked there from 1972 - '75, '92 - 96, 2005 - present.

KI-ORIG-EMP
As for Grad Night, it only stayed open past 11PM in the mid 70's. I am not sure of the hours after I left in 75 but think it changed to 11PM at the latest. One of the reasons it changed was due to the labor laws as it relates to minors. On the very rare occasion that the park was open late, we still always had to have minors out by 1am. EDIT: So skaterboy22101 can you tell us what "your moms company" was? The Interpreter
The question, Mr. Woofer, was not addressed to you, but rather to skaterboy22101, who claimed his mom's company had an event from 12pm-12pm....(see post 5 in this thread, on the first page...). I can understand why you were confused, since you got quoted when the question was lately asked...
BoddaH1994
I think KIC Day next year should be a 12pm to 12pm affair.
The Interpreter
Well, that could be 24 hours, or not even a second, depending on one's...wait for it....interpretation.

BoddaH1994
Let's make every day a KIC Day. lol The idea of having an overnight event at the park was pitched to us for KIC Day this year. Not so much that the rides would be open all night, but we were going to have KIC Day then have everyone 'camp out' in the park all night and have breakfast in the morning. Needless to say there were WAY too many logistical barriers to overcome for that to be put into motion. I can't say we wouldn't explore the idea in the future, but we'd have to start planning something like that many months in advance.
