Thanks to Don and who ever else was responsible for bringing back the Retro Characters; my kids loved seeing them. We hope KI brings them out more often.

We all got to see Fred Flintstone, Barney Rubble, Dino, George Jetson, Astro, Shaggy, Scobby, Thelma, Betty Rubble (I think); Yogi Bear.

Don asked me to inform you that he appreciates the props you're giving him, but he said thanks goes out to Jennifer, Marissa, Stephanie, Lisa, Derrick, Matt, Scott, Katie, Nikki, Sharon and the entertainment department for making the events of this year possible.

What happens after the Nick License expires isn't even something that's discussed in the board meetings yet. When the time comes, they'll do whatever makes sense which may be a return of HB, renewal of Nick, creating their own characters, or a laundry list of other possibilities.

I hope that you're wrong.

I find it hard to believe that CF is not foresighted enough to actually discuss these issues prior to the occurence.

Key wording, in the board meetings. Yet discussed in many other ways and meetings.

Get your fill of Nick while you can because CF will not spend the kind of money that Viacom will be looking for to use the Nick Characters. I will be glad to see HBL return and maybe the addition of everyones favorite Beagle...

I had actually thought that the return of HB items & characters were not realistic.

It seems more and more that it will be happening.

With the absence of Nick being included in any kind of advertisements (of late) it seems even more realistic.

And If you look at the Howl-O-Fest site, there is no mention on Nick. (There is Scooby, though.)

The fact that there isn't a mention of Nick in the Howl-O-Fest advertisements is because Howl-O-Fest is separate from Nick Universe. It's in the picnic grove. It's the same reason they didn't mention The Racer or Boomerang Bay in the ads. It has nothing to do with it. Nickelodeon Universe is alive and well and there were Nick characters meeting and greeting guests in that area on Saturday and Sunday.

Come on Boddah, even you have to acknowledge.....

If Nick were a property that CF wanted to continue long term that they would prominently display and list it in Howl-O-Fest ads.

It's a no brainer and speaks volumes.

Mr. BoddaH only has to acknowledge that which the park wishes to be acknowledged. It is ever thus, as it must be. The park does so much for this website, AND VICE VERSA. Don't push the BoddaH. Besides, that's my job! :)

You are right.

It's like Whitehouse Spokesman.

You don't expect them to come out and say what the President does not want disclosed.

When you say "that area", you mean Nick U area, correct? After spending darn near 2 hours in the Howl-O-Fest area this past Sunday, I seen lots of HB but not a single Nick to be found. Hmmmm....

Don't push the BoddaH.

Quote of the day! Don't push the Boddah! :)

I would love to see Hanna-Barbera Land return after Nickelodeon Universe eventually leaves the park, be in 2010 or 2015, or whenever.

Heck, I would even be happy if Nickelodeon Universe left and Cedar Fair created their own characters and themes to replace them.

Anyone who says that they won't renew their season pass if Nickelodeon Universe doesn't come back is as serious as certain Hollywood stars who said that they would move to Canada if a certain president was elected and later, re-elected. He was elected, and later re-elected and none of them them moved.

My point is that Kings Island is an awesome place whether the kids's area has Hanna-Barbera, Nickelodeon, Penauts, or generic stuff. Kids will not lose interest because the signs and a few costumed characters change. It's all about the rides.

Have a great day!
