Beast brakes

IF NOTHING ELSE, READ THIS NEXT SENTENCE:

I found a video of Beast's first drop without the skid brakes. Or any brakes, for that matter.

Those of who who've fought The Beast brake battle here on KIC know the significance of this. (I know how this affects it since I'm a lurker.  :D ) Go to

, and watch the video, starting at 1:35. (Yes, I know, the title says it's a video of The Bat, but it has lots of footage of other rides.) Before that point, you can see Beast operating with 4-bench cars. After that point, you get a complete, clear front row POV of the first drop... which is skidless.

I don't mean to reignite the whole brake argument, but I'm pretty sure I've seen the whole of the major brake threads, and this video, to my knowledge, was never presented. So, if this helpful, enjoy! And if it isn't helpful, sorry to waste your time!

a. Sigh. NOT AGAIN

b. Quote:

Search is a really good thing. . .Honestly, this has been discussed what seems like at least six zillion times, over and over and over...

Just three examples that I found with exactly ninety-six seconds of looking:

http://www.KICentral.com/forums/index.php?...l=Beast++Brakes

http://www.KICentral.com/forums/index.php?...l=Beast++Brakes

And these are just the topics where Beast braking was a major component of the thread. The issue has also been discussed ad infininitum and ad nauseum in numerous other threads, including (I'm kidding) one about cranberry Jell-O.

Jell-O is a registered trademark of Kraft Food Holdings, Inc. Beast braking is a matter of safety and maintenance and is in the sole discretion of Cedar Fair, the State of Ohio, various insurance companies worldwide, attraction designers and manufacturers and darn near anyone else except random posters on Internet fansites, many of whom claim to know more about running parks and coasters than those who do run parks and coasters.

Whereupon, the former thread was closed, as this one SHOULD be.

^^ Honestly, Interpreter, I had good intentions with this. I really, really don't want to stir up that whole overdone argument again. I'm really sorry; it's obvious this is going to irritate the living crap out of everyone just with the title alone. Please lock it, somebody.

Ok. Just one question. Why did they take the water out from The Beast right when you come out of the station that looked so cool actually something to look at while your going around the circle?

That is answered and discussed here:

That's not the issue...starting yet another new thread instead of posting to an existing thread is. We don't need 600 threads with the exact same topic.

^^ Okay. I would have done that originally; however, I have been on forums where it was considered a ban-able offense to drag up threads that were years old. This is my fault; I should have checked with the ToS first.

*sigh*

:unsure:

I feel exceptionally stupid right now. Sorry, everyone.
