mikejenkins1
Will the ACE walkback include Diamondback as an option?
CoastersRZ
As has been stated elsewhere, the Ruth Voss Memorial walk back for all card carrying coaster club members is changing in 2009. Since all Gold and Platinum season pass holders to Kings Island get access to the Diamondback early ride times, members of the coaster clubs that have a season pass will obviously be able to participate in the ERT session. Those members of coaster clubs that do NOT have a Kings Island Gold or Platinum season pass and use a general admission ticket to enter the park will be able to participate in the morning ERT session on Diamondback, provided that proper credentials are displayed (ie you have your membership card for the particular club that you belong to). There may be other rides that are offered in addition to Diamondback. Diamondback will have ERT offered every morning that Kings Island is open in 2009. The exact times and details about the ERT have not yet been released. Stay tuned for further information.
Maverick011
So on April 18, what time will goldpass holders be able to get in? Im assuming 9, rite?
CoastersRZ
Well based on last year`s early ride times, I would say the gates will open at 9:30am, and the early ride times will commence at that time. And no, Diamondback will not be a "rite" of passage, right?
Justin_M17
The 26 is my birthday maybe I will get a gold or platinum pass as an early birthday present. XD Mines the 11th. I'm just delaying the party until opening day and going then What kind of kid opts to have his 18th birthday at an amusement park?
kings_island~thrill is me!
Is this because Construction is behind schedule and they wont have it ready for April 17th? (Just guessing) Diamondback construction is going at an excellent pace and is currently on schedule. It will be ready to open with the park on April 18th. My quess why the the early access is not avaliable any more is because it was on a Friday which is a school day for most schools, and they probabaly figured that kids would skip school...so you know. And no, Diamondback will not be a "rite" of passage, right? That's unfortunate. I'm not really sure if it'll be worth it for me personally to attempt to gain early access. That would mean rushing home from work at midnight, going right to bed after a shower, getting up, and trying to make it to the park before 9:30. It does however mean that I'll have a better chance of making to the ERT. We'll see, I guess. I really can't wait to take a night ride on this monster. The morning ERT, or the night ride? Because I'll probably do both at various points during the season.
