JAHill Posted January 27, 2009 Posted January 27, 2009 Eagles. Most definately. It's a matter of opinion though. Quote

The Interpreter Posted January 27, 2009 Posted January 27, 2009 That's why I said "see also." That means you might also want to look at.... Quote
kiruler102 Posted January 27, 2009 Posted January 27, 2009 True True. i miss the phantom theater, instead they replaced it with a scooby ride that isnt fun anymore. Quote
violakat03 Posted January 27, 2009 Posted January 27, 2009 The two I miss most are King Cobra (<3) and Skylab. King Cobra was quite possibly my favorite coaster in the park, because it was short, fun, different, and almost always walk-on. Also, of the 3 standups I've ridden, it was by far the smoothest. Skylab was the first ride I ever went on that went upside down. I rode it the same year as my first coaster. I really love Witch's Wheel at Cedar Point because it brings back memories. Quote
The Interpreter Posted January 27, 2009 Posted January 27, 2009 I miss the Flying Eagles most of all. Many a happy time I had on those. And the line always seems much longer now that they are at Carowinds in the Nick section. Quote
CedarPointGuyfrmCincy Posted January 27, 2009 Author Posted January 27, 2009 The eagles were so much fun cuz you had control of how high you could fly and it was like a 5 min wait at most. Quote
The Interpreter Posted January 27, 2009 Posted January 27, 2009 Indeed they were fun. Sometimes the line could get quite long, actually. But, incredibly, Kings Island was one of the only parks in the country that didn't usually chastise guests for flying high or snapping the cables. It was a unique experience, and sadly missed. Modern versions installed in places like Indiana Beach and Camden Park do not compare. Quote
LongLiveTheSmurfRide Posted January 27, 2009 Posted January 27, 2009 I'm not sure which ride I miss most.....I'll have to think about it. Quote
The Interpreter Posted January 27, 2009 Posted January 27, 2009 But your name isn't LongLiveBavarianBeetle! Terpy, who just HAD to Quote
goofywdw Posted January 27, 2009 Posted January 27, 2009 The Eagles. I always loved seeing the big kids snap the eagles. I couldn't do it very well. They had this at Lake Compounce but it was sooo slow they were hardly off the ground. I didn't bother. Quote
CedarPointGuyfrmCincy Posted January 27, 2009 Author Posted January 27, 2009 Phantom of the Opera is missed as well...I remember when i was younger riding it to dry off after water rides where the guy opens the furnace and the heat rolls out. Good Times Quote
The Interpreter Posted January 27, 2009 Posted January 27, 2009 I believe you mean Phantom Theater, which the park always assured Andrew Lloyd Webber was NOT based on Phantom of the Opera, just as it said Adventure Express was NOT based on Indiana Jones. Quote
CedarPointGuyfrmCincy Posted January 27, 2009 Author Posted January 27, 2009 yeah,i meant Phantom Theater my bad. Quote
kings_island~thrill is me! Posted January 27, 2009 Posted January 27, 2009 I miss the old fashined antique cars and the flying eagles I've always wanted to ride King cobra Quote
KingCobra Posted January 27, 2009 Posted January 27, 2009 King Cobra and or the Flying Eagles. I had a chance to ride both of them. Though I was never even alive for it, I think it would have been a real 'interesting' experience to have ridden The Bat, even though I have heard to stories of how the ride basically tore itself apart. Quote
IndyGuy4KI Posted January 27, 2009 Posted January 27, 2009 I miss King Cobra as well, but I must admit, I really love Delirium that sits in it's location now. Quote
Hoeter Posted January 27, 2009 Posted January 27, 2009 King Cobra, Kenton's Cove Keelboat Canal, and Phantom Theater. Quote
coaster_junky Posted January 27, 2009 Posted January 27, 2009 the ride i miss the most is Son of Beast w/ the loop. and kenton's cove keelboat canal, but that one is just because i never got to ride it before it was replaced with empty garage: the ride Quote
goofywdw Posted January 27, 2009 Posted January 27, 2009 Ohh yeah Phantom Theater! I was walking to break during the Haunt and saw all of the blue characters on the stage in front of the tower and the music from the ride was playing. That's all we talked about all break were old rides. Quote
LongLiveTheSmurfRide Posted January 27, 2009 Posted January 27, 2009 They should have 1 train on Diamondback go backwards. Quote
Tomkatt7 Posted January 27, 2009 Posted January 27, 2009 I miss the Skylab. I can say that, in my opinion, all the other removals made the park better. While I did Like KCKC, I can see them taking it out. It still left the park with another log flume, WWC, and Amazon falls. Plus there is the water park. I also wouldn't mind seeing them put in a new version of Flight Commander. Quote
