Avatar
At the KICentral Winter Blues Event Don Helbig made mention that organizations would have an opportunity to bid/buy a seat for some of the A Kid Again children. If so I would like to pledge $50.00 so that KICentral can start the process.
BoddaH1994
Does that sound like something in which you guys would be interested? KIC sponsoring a seat for this activity? Remember that any donation made will be tax deductible.
tigellinus
^^Yeah, that sounds like a good idea...I'll chip in for that. Maybe you could hold a contest or something for the winner to be the rider..??

AgentSoB
I was actually getting ready to ask about this... I think it would be awesome for KIC to bid for a seat to help make a young ones day. I'd pledge in the name of KIC to help. Besides, I wouldn't be able to pledge enough to get the seat myself, but together we can win for the charity. This would be the best option. How would we go about doing this though?
UnrealNightmare
I could pitch in somewhere between 30 to 50 bucks.

RailRider
Very good idea and I am excited to see how much this auction can raise.
marlfox_21
This is a very good idea. I am going to talk this over with my other half and decide what we should donate. No, I am not thinking unrealistically, and I am not expecting a seat. But maybe $50 to $100 would be fair to the cause.
marlfox_21
We could all donate $ as a single unit, and if we win a seat, we could give it so someone who, otherwise, would not even be able to afford park attendance. Just a thought.
UnrealNightmare
^^ I think thats the plan we would all donate as a group. Then give the seat to the child. Like I said I'm in I think we could raise a whole lot of money here.
Dvo
but.. but... but I wanna ride! I'm wondering how much the rides will go for. In 2000, CP did this with Millennium Force. http://www.allbusiness.com/services/amusem.../4556150-1.html They brought in $32,000 from 108 riders. That's about $300 per rider. The top two bidders were $2000 and $1000. I think I'd be willing to pay about $250 or maybe $300 to be a first rider. But I think I'll wait till early April to decide... kittenpooh
I think this is a wonderful Idea. Thing is someone needs to get going on this. Like how to get the money together and how the heck would they pick one kiddo out of all the ones they have. I could chip in a few dollars, it's not alot but just think all of the money no matter what the amount goes to this charity. This is a wonderful idea!! Let's get it going. clbehymer
I would be up for donating as a group and giving the seat to one of the kids from the charity. Maybe Ryan or another moderator can set something up like we pay our money to paypal or something and he makes the bid for us as a community??? You can put me down for at least $20.
