dare-to-fly Posted February 5, 2009 Posted February 5, 2009 Yes. Terpy, in your heart you knew he would That never gets old. I had a Geometry teacher in high school that would always do the same thing. He drove half the class nuts and the other half was highly entertained. Quote

A lack of spelling and punctuation makes it so easy! Proofreading is a task that my English students have gotten very quickly, and it isn't that hard. Flyer, who couldn't resist. Quote
The Interpreter Posted February 8, 2009 Posted February 8, 2009 Putting upper case letters at the beginnings of sentences and of proper nouns also can be a capital thing to understanding! Quote
dare-to-fly Posted February 8, 2009 Posted February 8, 2009 Putting upper case letters at the beginnings of sentences and of proper nouns also can be a capital thing to understanding! It certainly helps. I blame many peoples' lack of proper spelling, punctuation, and capitalization on the latest craze of text messaging, and even e-mails to a degree. If you get used to not caring, it's no longer second nature to type it correctly. When I get e-mails from students who don't bother with these essentials, I have been known to send the e-mail back proofed for them. It sometimes gets their attention. Quote
