PKICoasterFreek
Sling Shot is awesome and very intence during the first few seconds! I really like the launch, the G's smack you down into your seat. The flips and stuff tht sometimes happen are fun too!

Stitch
I remember Opening day I saw the slingshot by KC and thought they took out KC for this... later I realised it's a cool ride and that of coarse Delirium is taking KC's spot. italianchef
I am going to up save up my cash and ride slingshot. It is soo expensive! but looks likie a lot of fun! Inraider, Sling Shot was the most thrilling experience that I ever had at any theme park in my life (and I reckon that I'm older than you). Being shot up like a projectile and spinning backwards while watching the Eiffel Tower made me scream more than anything in my adult life. It is well worth the money lad. But yeah - I wish that it was cheaper too. If it were cheaper, more people would ride it. Edited January 1, 1970 by italianchef
Stitch
Pki gets a cut of the money they make right.
Beastfreak
PKI gets all the money from that ride. It is their ride.
TraderJake
At PKI upcharge attractions are staffed by Operations, but fall under the Merchandise department... that should tell you something right there... Actually, Money issues for many upcharge attractions, including slingshot, skyflyer, and Eurobungy are handled by Games, not Merch. While they fall under concessionare, they are (as of last year) games concessions, not merch concessions. How I wish I could stand at one of those booths and push for people to ride the rides though, it would be so fun. Oh well I can push the sale of strollers. Anyways back on topic, I think that Street Candy may see a remodeling in the future, there is a condemned (well at least I think it is condemed) second floor up there which was a problem two years ago, and there are other things with that store which if one sees it it looks so run down and awful. (ah, the joys of spending days in a store and noticing its quirks). Edited January 1, 1970 by TraderJake
Stitch
Isee the second track of the antique cars leaving sometime since it's never used. I like the antique cars I think that they should reinstate the second side. Edited January 1, 1970 by Coasterguy107
SOB_TOM
If I remember right, the Rivertown Antique Cars never saw business, where the Coney Mall side was racking in the riders. Its all about location, location, location, and noone ever went down that path very often to ride it when they could ride the cars in Coney. Beastfreak
For Xtreme Skyflyer, they actually have multiple departments operating it. Games: Sells tickets to get on ride. Rides: Prepairs riders and puts them on the cables Merch: Sells the video.
Stitch
If they never ran why did King's Island Build the other track?
Browntggrr
Cedar Point was charging $2.50 for a Coke out of the vending machines last year, so everyone stopped buying Coke. CP finally got the idea and DROPPED the price. The prices are high because there are people willing to pay the price. It is the simple method of supply and demand. As far as getting rid of rides/buildings, I would hate to see ANY ride torn down. What PKI does need is a nice sit down restaurant in the park. The TGI Fridays at CP does tremendously well, and is near the top for sales for all Fridays. It even has the single day record of $25,000 in sales for all Fridays. And this restaurant is only open when the park is open during the summer.
Stitch
Yes that may be true but Cedar Point is HUGE! Pki is big but not Cp big so a sit down resturant might just break even at pki. You can sit at the Festause anyway.
Coasterfan
PKI charged 2.50 for Coke and water last year!
Stitch
My dad works for Coke and in the warehouse they sell 20 oz for 25 cents shows you how much PKI's making.
Captain Picard
so you think 3 million people eat more at cp than 3 million would at pki
Stitch
That's not quite the point it's obvious that CP gets just a little bit more people than PKI does.
Captain Picard
where did you get that info pki is more than cp or it was in 2001 i have not seen 2002 yet

aero11
What? Then tell my how PKI has kicked CP's butt in attendance for the last 2 or 3 years.
Stitch
Ahh I see what you mean I apologize I was thinking of the employees but when I realized 3million was Not refering to the employees I realized what you meant my fault, I just misunderstood you sorry. Stitch
I don't think that PKI would put in a sit down type resteraunt because of the numerous reteraunts nearby where as CP is on it's own peninsula so people staying at their hotels my not want to have to drive. teenageninja
I really do see a buffet or something of the sort coming this year, a sit down resteraunt I don't know. CP is also out of land, so that's a problem too.
