PKI has published their 2003 show lineup What's everyone think?

I love it man i hate to say it but love the line up they have! i wanna see pulse! and iwanna meet the nicktoons!( i rather hug Yogi or Fred but this will do!)

Pulse sounds interesting. Any idea where that show might be? I'm guessing the bandstand area... where Karaoke is. I was surprised to see a CMT Country Show at the Back Porch. The stage and area seem so small.

Yeah the backporch is very small! Pulse sounds like a techo show or light show or something but it does sound very fun and thats odd cuz i have no clue what it is yet! i bet its on the bandstand!i went and watched that CMT last year it was pretty cool !

Hmmmm, seems to me that SML828 and I are the only 2 ent. crew members here so I might be able to help, Pulse will probably the same as THE CREW show last year, Backporch may be bigger now, and pulse will prolly be either a traveling show, or on the bandstand.

And if you look closely, they have a new magic show. (Spellbound) Hopefully it'll be better than Forbidden Magic..... Well it is from Vegas, and you know how they can be...

The Shows this year are gonna RULE! i will miss having a scooby show but we got the haunted castle soooo i will be more than fine!

Is Meet the Nicktoons going to be in the enchanted theater? Or was that overrun by the Haunted Castle? I'll miss hearing, "Attention boys and girls, moms and dads, in just 15 minutes from now, Paramount's Kings Island will present, Scooby Doo and the Ghost in the Attic, in the Enchanted Theater in Hanna Barbera Land! Velma, Shaggy, and youre favorite cartoon character, Scooby Doo, discover mischief and mayhem as they solve a musical mystery in a haunted attic. Slime Time we all know what that'll be like - it says a 20-minute show? if it's like past years it's longer than that....

Vibe will be like Pop Fusion from 2001,

Young Country will be at the Back Porch,

Karaoke at the bandstand,

Spellbound is SUPPOSED to be better than Forbidden Magic (which sucked) - just because it says "live from Vegas" doesn't mean it's really from Vegas....

and the one everyone's curious about...

Pulse is going to be similar to the Crew - it will be a 'Stomp'-like show at the Bandstand.

If they go ahead with the plans I heard in the fall - the singers from Vibe will be the cast of Young Country and the dancers from Vibe will be the cast of Pulse...Don't know if this is still the plan.

Meet the Nicktoons (I think) will still be at the Character Studio by Nick Theater? Correct me if I'm wrong Yogi....

I'm holding my judgement of the shows until I actually see them....the one I really want to see is Vibe.....

you know what sml828, I have no clue, I heard they tore it down and are making a larger one, you coming back, comeon, the ushers need you!

I am very veyr excited about VH1's VIBE, it sounds awesome and I know me and my friend Brea' will love it! As long as it has some O-boys in it!! lol!! I will love slimetime live too, cause that si an awesome show!! I am just really excited about VIBE THOUGH!! I can't wait!!!! lol < SCREAMS>

Hey SML & ROY...I also work in the ent. for about 5 years now, but I am new to this board. Anyways I just wanted to add me 2 cents to this topic. Spellbound say "Live from Las Vegas" because the producer of the show actually produced some of the vegas stage shows, also the magicians of the show The Majextics have also performed in Vegas, if I am not mistaken. Also Pulse will be on the bandstand during the summer, Karaoke is only going to be done during pre-season. VIBE should be cool, but I have my worries (I have yet to hear what songs will be in it), I believe the Nicktoons meet and greet are still happening in Nick Central, the last I heard the only character to use the new facilities will be Scooby. Also you are correct SML, the singers from VIBE will be the singers for Young Country, and the dancers from VIBE will be the dancers for PULSE (Stomp style show). See you all in a couple of weeks.

Yeah the magic show will be in the summer only (June-September) Karaoke will be pre-season only (April-May). The Nick show will be both pre & full season (April-September) And the other 3: VIBE, PULSE, and YOUNG COUNTRY will be summer only (June-late August). Also I think that both Karaoke and the Nick show may return for the post season, but as of right now they are all scheduled to end in September.

So Shman will the nick show be differant? with new characters? will the station to meet the rugrats and Blue change?

Is anyone else a little disappointed about the show schedule? Other than the children's Nick show and Karaoke, there are NO shows until June. Hmmmm... and it sounds like the performers will be rotating between the different shows. Maybe I'm wrong, but this all sounds like major budget cuts in the entertainment department. At least the CMT Country Show opened in April last year. Young Country won't open 'til June. I know a lot of season pass holders who visited the park faithfully last year just for the shows... and I know they will not be too thrilled with the 'main' teenage-to-adult aged shows not starting till later.

That's exactly the reason - there were MAJOR changes within the Entertainment department for this year. I see 2003 as a 'transition' season...2004 I think will be better.

And yes, Karaoke and Nick are the only pre-season shows...

Unfortunately because of the budget cuts and many changes, I won't be back this year - Sorry Yogi!

I like nick so i guess that show will tide me over until i can see spongebob 3D! but i realllllly wanna see pulse!!!!

I hate to say this, but I never really saw any shows at KI except for the country one last year b/c I couldn't help that. I just never had time to go see them. I will try to this year, I promise!

Spellbound sounds like fun, I can't wait to see it.

Young Contry I think might be a problem... I can't belive they are putting it on the Backporch! That area is way too small and I can see having problems with congestion... and the entrence to Oscars being just to the left of the Backporch... I hope we don't get people walking back there.

Pulse sounds just like "STOMP", I agree, but it still sounds fun and its something to watch still be interested in.

SML is right. There were alot of major changes that took place iat Corporate near the end of last season, which resulted in PKI doing all of the shows for themselves...instead of recieving packaged shows from PPD&E. Yes there won't be too many shows untill the summer...but that is the busiest time of the year anyways. Most of pre-season the shows are performed for audiences of no more than 20 or so people, so I think this year they decided not to hire on all the performers so early. Backporch does seem like a very small space to do Young Country, especially since I have heard that there may be 6-8 singers. But I have also heard that they may have done some work to that stage (I don't know if that is fact or not).

Hey R_O_Y did you get to walk around the park at all??? If so did you see the new facade to Scooby, does it look nice?? Also did you get to see the backporch stage...I know that there has been speculation that it was expanded. Do the new characters look nice???

roy! ha i never noticed that, but yeah i walked around cuz my bosses office was in hb/nick, scooby loks real nice! and backporch, well i couldnt see it, but i think that it will be new, oh the new characters are soo close to thier counterparts its not even funny. hmmmmm I might have to change my name soon,.
