JAHill
I searched parrots and nothing nothing came up, so I'm gonna assume this wasn't posted yet. Quote from KI email: Dig out your Hawaiian shirts, shark hats, grass skirts, flip flips and pop tops so you’re ready when “Parrots of the Caribbean” hit the stage on Opening Day, Saturday, April 18 at Kings Island! gigacoaster2k
I saw the headline "I like mine with lettuce and tomato" and I was like what the h? A friend and I took advantage of the Backyard BBQ last year. Except for the swarms of bees around the soda machine, the food was great and nothing went empty. It's something I'll definitely take advantage of again.. all you can eat for that price is nothing to complain about these days.
The Interpreter
It is when you are trying not to eat all you can eat. I have said it before and I will say it again...Kings Island needs more healthy food choices. Unless and until it gets them, I'm likely to be eating out of my car's trunk, and Mr. Kinzel will miss out on more than a few nickels. We ate in our car last season and I spotted atleast 5 other families doing the same thing.
violakat03
Yeah, I noticed the same. We always either bring our own food or go out to eat off park property. I can't handle eating greasy, hot food on a hot day in the park.
Avatar
One of my treasured recent memories of the Kings Island was last years Knievel day last year. Yes for the all the great activities but one in particular that I felt kinda glued the days events together. It was a couple live band stages set up with various band s playing. I really enjoyed the atmosphere it provided and watching guests walking around and rides running their cycles while watching the bands. I am for one super excited about a live band performing on opening day and it will give me something to look forward to after my ride on Diamondback. At this point if I ride Diamondback, eat at the Rivertown Junction (so I can review it) and watch Parrots of the Caribbean, the day will be complete and everything else is a bonus. I hope more live bands are planned throughout the year. One of the best crowd pleasing performances I have seen at the park was an Elvis impersonator, I know I went out of curiosity but the crowd loved him and he had them all fired up like no other performance I have seen before. The Interpreter
Sounds rather fattening.... Terpy, who has had southern friends...and who is oddly reminded of Foghorn Leghorn for some reason, I say, I say...

I agree with you there and a great Elivs impersonator is a gentleman by the name of Mike Albert. If you ever have the chance to see him do it and you wont be sorry. First class show all the way. gigacoaster2k
In the years I have been going to the park, I've always been a ride warrior, barely stopping for a bite to eat, or only ducking into a souvenir shop when there was bad weather or buying sunglasses because I broke (another) pair. My friend and I did stop to watch the Flashback! Totally 80s. I enjoyed it and I am happy that the show is returning this year. I regret not stopping to see more of what the park has to offer.. that will definitely change this year.
Thrill_Biscuit
I enjoyed a great Zydeco band that played near Great Barrier Reef a few years ago in Boomerang Bay. I don't know what they were called, but the atmosphere was as festive as ever. ... Friend Chicken. Hilarious.
XGatorHead 8904
What? They're moving a Disney attraction here? And by opening day? How are they gonna... Huh? What? Oooohhhh, Parrots of the Carribbean. I get it... Mrs. Gator got this email yesterday but I didn't. But anyway, like Avatar said, it's great to see some live bands in the park. They've done it before not only at the Knievel jump and BB, but they also occasionally had bands on the patio of the then Bubba Gump's. Hopefully this trend continues. I've never seen them myself, but what I've heard from those who have is that Parrots put on a great show. Less than a month to go!
