At any rate, I'm glad that Backyard BBQ is returning, as even though I only did it once, it was very yummy! Must repeat. Flyer, who will be at SCG on opening day. XGatorHead 8904
^Don't let the name fool you. Despite it being called "Backyard BBQ Picnic", there is no actual BBQ. There is, however, "Southern Fried Chicken, hamburgers, hot dogs, baked beans, potato salad, unlimited soft drinks and ice cream treats!" It was decent when we went last year. dare-to-fly
Isn't it interesting? A BBQ with no BBQ. But there is plenty of delicious food to be had.

The Interpreter
They also call "sloppy joe's" barbecue. All of which hurts my head. Moonlite...that's barbecue: http://www.moonlite.com
Avatar
Agree Terpy, Moonlite is one of the best as if not the best when it comes to BBQ. We have found that you can indeed have BBQ at Kings Island Backyard BBQ, You just need to remember to pick-up a couple packets of BBQ sauce at Potato Works or at the Outback Shack before you go, then add it to the chicken or hamburger. Hope that helped.
The Interpreter
Why am I reminded of Gidgit making tomato soup at the Automat with ketchup packets and hot water? Barbecue with packets from elsewhere in the park? Sigh. I think I will stick to Outer Hanks, thank you.
RailRider
They also call "sloppy joe's" barbecue. All of which hurts my head. Moonlite...that's barbecue: http://www.moonlite.com Ah yes the famous Moonlite. My company is headquarterd out of Owensboro, so I have been to the Moonlight a few times. Yet still have not found the BBQ any better than http://www.oldcanalsmokehouse.com/index.htm in my home town. Actually when the higher ups from Owensboro come here they request it because they find it far superior as well. Ok I will say that is BBQ this side of the Mississippi, because its hard to disagree with Kansas City.
