Dino2003 Posted March 24, 2003 Posted March 24, 2003 HI i was wonderin if any of you got to take the quiz that PKI was giving there passholders and guests i guess there being mailed to the season pass holders and i guess they are asking guests at the park this year to take the quiz..the quiz is a bout what the public would want to see the most next year in 2004 and so on...the choices are from what i have read ....Rugrats...Wild Thornberrys....Brady Bunch...Star Trek...Spongebob...Scooby Doo...and a couple more that i didnt get a chance to look at! Let me know...enjoy! Quote
teenageninja Posted March 24, 2003 Posted March 24, 2003 None of those sound good to me, because the only one out of those that I think would be logical is Star Trek. All the others are kiddy rides except Brady Bunch... Quote
Aaron Posted March 24, 2003 Posted March 24, 2003 I think PKI is referring to overall themes (like restaurants, characters, shows, etc.), not just themes for new and upcoming attractions. Quote
fyrfyter Posted March 24, 2003 Posted March 24, 2003 One can only hope. I think a coaster themed to Star Trek would be cool, especially if it were like a B&M flyer. That could be cool. Now the next decision would be, Star Trek: The Next Generation, or using the Oringinal with Scottie, Bones, Spock, and Captain Kirk? Quote
Scooby_Doo Posted March 24, 2003 Posted March 24, 2003 Cool i think it is a quiz about characters and new Resturants and shows,Rides...it makes sense...since well i heard this will be the last year for the kiddie restaurants..maybe there gonna be turned into the Rumored Catdog snack shack..and the wild thornberrys restaurant..does this mean we will see the Rugrats toonpike..wild Thornberrys tree house...Star trek Coaster or 3D movie..Spongebobs Boatmobiles...ScoobyDoo's Cafe....WHO knows i like the idea of the star trek coaster! but i dont like star trek...dont get mad thats my Choice Quote
DragonLord Posted March 25, 2003 Posted March 25, 2003 No hard feelings about not liking Star Trek. My big upset is that our employee passes don't work for Star Trek: The Experience. Oh well, can't have everything. Quote
Dino2003 Posted March 25, 2003 Author Posted March 25, 2003 True i would like to see something like star trek the Experience in pki like scooby_doo said i would expect to kiddie resturants in hbl turned into nick...Scooby doo cafe where in the world do you see that one!!! Quote
italianchef Posted March 25, 2003 Posted March 25, 2003 To date, I've received no such thing from PKI. But I vote for a Star Trek ride and to bring back the Star Trek characters. On Saturday I went to a Sci Fi convention in Mason and there was a gorgeous full-figured lady dressed as a Klingon. WOW!!!!!!! Were I not married, I would've invited her out to dinner - assuming she was single. Anyway, I vote for a Star Trek ride and characters. Quote
Scooby_Doo Posted March 25, 2003 Posted March 25, 2003 (edited) True i would like to see something like star trek the Experience in pki like scooby_doo said i would expect to kiddie resturants in hbl turned into nick...Scooby doo cafe where in the world do you see that one!!!  I was just giving out possiblities of what could happen the kiddie resturants have lived throught many many seasons and i think they will be Resturants themed to nick shortly as for Scooby-Doo Cafe it could happen!!!...hey they could even rename Buccaneer Island to Scooby's Splash Island for all we know! but i dont think it will happen!it might but i doubt it! bingog34 Posted March 25, 2003 Posted March 25, 2003 I went to Star Trek: The Experience in Las Vegas and was extremely disappointed. I think PKI should start making rides without movie affiliations and just make them for the sake of the ride. Quote
Scooby_Doo Posted March 25, 2003 Posted March 25, 2003 I dont like star trek..But i would like to see a B&M flying coaster themed to Star Trek:Nemesis...i can see it being black and neon green (just like the colors in the movie poster)that would be the color for the track now that would rule!!!! Quote
Elder Panther Posted March 26, 2003 Posted March 26, 2003 I'm a season pass member and I haven't recieved anything from PKI this year yet. I don't really like Star Trek, but if it's a B&M coaster themed to Star Trek, then who really cares about the theme. Quote
fyrfyter Posted March 26, 2003 Posted March 26, 2003 I think rides that are themed out are the best. I mean even Adventure Express with its Indiana jones/Tomb Raider style theming is really cool. It adds to the fun of the ride. i think they could successfully theme a coaster to something good like Mission Impossible 2, or something like that. Some rides are fine as just being rides, but the ones that are themed really well, I think are much more enjoyable. Quote
crazyguyondelirium Posted March 30, 2003 Posted March 30, 2003 i would rather not have a star trek ride because i hate star trek Quote
shedevilonsob Posted March 30, 2003 Posted March 30, 2003 if you ask me a B&M like the one at Bush Gardens williamsburg would be nice nothing with a specific theme based on a move! Quote
pki_guy Posted March 30, 2003 Posted March 30, 2003 I think shes talking about Apollo's Charriot. Quote
hausty1983 Posted March 31, 2003 Posted March 31, 2003 (edited) I hate Star Trek too GRRRR" It would be great if everyone could see a movie themed ride that would really fit into the park like the ones that we have now Edited January 1, 1970 by hausty1983 Quote
DanielRadsgrl Posted April 3, 2003 Posted April 3, 2003 I know my paraents love star treck i mean its retarded. Just my opinion Quote
Captain Picard Posted April 4, 2003 Posted April 4, 2003 yes star trek is more adult oriented you probably like things like spongebob and nicktoons Quote
italianchef Posted April 4, 2003 Posted April 4, 2003 I concur with Captain Picard that Star Trek does appeal to a more mature audience. However, I am fond of Star Trek and H-B, as well as Nickelodeon. I hope that someday PKI will have a Star Trek inspired ride, maybe a motion simulator or steel roller coaster. However, I'd be happy if they'd retheme Flight of Fear as a Star Trek coaster. Quote
