i_love_KI
Me and my friends are going to Kings Island on May 9th, but we dont know what to ride first or last or in between. So i was hoping that if anyone had a great list of rides in order, that would really help me out.
CedarPointer
Well, I usually just make a circuit around the park, starting at Diamondback and ending at Drop Tower or Invertigo. Usually, I do: Diamondback Crypt Beast Backlot Action Theater, if I'm in need of an air-conditioned break Vortex Flight of Fear Firehawk, if the line is short Racer Adventure Express Delerium, if the line is short Flight Deck, if the line is short Drop Tower Invertigo, if the line is short
skaterboy22101
CedarPointer, you actually put that post in your signature?
CedarPointer
Yes, I rotate them out occasionally. That replaced the one about how rough Son of Beast is.

Vortex Action Theater (very rarely) Back Lot Stunt Coaster The Beast Crypt (very rarely) Diamondback

Jasper
Here's my list. Diamondback (Twice if the line is not TOO bad) The Beast Backlot Stunt Coaster Racer Flight Deck Son of Beast Drop Tower (As many times as humanly possible) Invertigo Delirium Flight of Fear Firehawk Vortex The Crypt (If you can see the line in the cave, no-no) Diamondback The Beast (Last ride of the day at night)
BavarianBeatle
The Beast is always first. Then DB. Then we go to Action Zone and skip ahead of everyone working there way through Coney and ride Delerium, Drop Tower, Flight Deck and SoB. Then we take a break and do AE and Racer. If the lines aren't bad, we will do FoF and/or Firehawk (my youngest is too short for them, so that's kind of hard), and I will let the kids do whatever flats they want in Coney. Then Vortex and perhaps BLSC. After that its usually lunch in the car, then we go up the Tower. After that its pretty random! The Beast night ride, of course, is last!!!
coaster_junky
i usually choose a ride i really want to ride on the way up to the park, then work my way clockwise around the rest of the park.
The Interpreter
As others have hinted at, do NOT start in the front of the park, nor with Diamondback unless you are in the gold pass ERT. Rather, head for the back of the park and proceed toward the front with rides you want to do. By so doing, you will avoid a lot of the crowd, who just rides things as they come to them, or runs to Diamondback and stays there while the line goes down... Terpy, who notes this is one reason Firehawk lines this year seem substantially reduced in the early mornings...
keiko_coaster
I enjoy walking randomly throughout the park and then if me or my friend drift off thats what well ride.. Normally we like to start out at the Scooby Doo Haunted Mansion though so that we can beat each other up..

gigacoaster2k
I bolt for DB and ride it several times, hit Beast, usually Vortex, BLSC, then FOF, Racer, drift over to Action Zone and get my Drop Tower rush. Repeat. And I try to hit Crypt if it's open or doesn't have 946 people waiting in line.

HandsUp
Diamondback 1st-a few times if possible. You gotta have that wake you up. Then The Beast (front seat) BLSC Firehawk Racer Drop Tower (as much as you can-given the line) SOB *REPEAT*
MillenniumBeast
I like to go in this order: Son of Beast Flight Deck Drop Tower Invertigo Delirium Diamondback (At least 2 times for now) The Crypt The Beast Backlot Stunt Coaster Vortex Flight of Fear Firehawk The Racer Diamondback (As many times as possible)
DropZone99
Well I always (As of 2009) start with Dback and than from there just about anything... I'll go to Action Zone before the park opens and wait for the rides to open, or do the same in X-Base. I also end my dad with Dback or Beast. HTCO
This year I start with about 4 rides on DB and end with DB with as many rides as possible til closing, or I have to leave. In between their its what ever I feel like.
KI Kevin
Action Theater, if I'm in need of an air-conditioned break oh boy...i rode Action Theather on opening day...bad idea. Outside, the temperature was 70-80 (my guess). Inside the Spongebob building, it was 90-100 degrees. not exaggerating. by touching the metal parts of the seat, you got burnt.
