April 18, 200323 yr While at the park last Saturday I stopped at the front gate and asked at Guest Relations about the gold pass meal deal. They told me it would be announced today. If anyone goes to the park today could they get the details on that benefit and post the details? I did see in the e-newsletter the deal at LaRosa's but that was all I saw. I was just curious if there are any other details on the Meal Deal. I do applaud PKI for this benefit. Bringing a family to the park and trying to feed them is very expensive. And as a thought on the price for pop in the park I do feel it is very high. I would be more likely to buy drinks inside if they were more fairly priced. I do not buy the argument that they are priced the same as other tourist attraction like another poster mentioned. I feel the same way about drinks at The Reds games, movies, etc. Why should I have to pay $2.75 for a drink that probably cost PKI maybe 25cents or something of the sort. I also now realize I will hear that is how they build the new coaster, rides, etc. But isn't that also what the admission if for? I do love the park very much and this is my only gripe about the park. Please make it affordable for a family to be able to eat and drink inside the park. The LaRosa's deal is a huge step in the right direction.
April 18, 200323 yr I have a friend who's dad works in a Coca-Cola bottling plant in Ohio. He says that they have vending machings inside the plant that distribute 20oz. for 25 cents. They also distribute every pop that Coca-Cola has ever made.
April 18, 200323 yr Yep I do too. And my friend has told me the same thing. 20 CENTS and every cola you could think of.
April 19, 200323 yr Aas long as were on the topic of Cola-Cola I got a little off-topic story... At our school we have vending machines that dispence the family of Pepsi. Coca-Cola, Mountain Dew, Fruitopia, and Gatoraid. Our athletic directior had all Cola-Cola Cola removed! This angered everybody! But he did leave Diet Coke. Why? Because thats what he drinks! Sorry that was off-topic, but it was on my mind.
April 20, 200323 yr Yup, I'll be the person to tell you, all that money goes towards a lot. When you think about it, you have to pay for maintenance, people to work there for you, supplies, electric, water, gas, garbage/recycling remova, new equiptment, flyers, tickets, advertisments, new rides, and the list goes on. All this stuff adds up very quickly. Then there is still the need to make a profit thus to make the whole purpose of a business worth something.
April 20, 200323 yr Lower the price of pop, you may end up selling more of it and end up making more in the long run. Its outrageous what the price for it is, No matter what it goes too.
April 20, 200323 yr yeah i love Coke Products!...i cant stand Pepsi yuck! i think the meal deals are a great addition to pki gold pass holders! Edited January 1, 197056 yr by Scooby_Doo
April 20, 200323 yr They won't sell enough at a cheaper price to make up for it. They sell enough at 2.75 so that it doesn't matter. It's great how you want a whole bunch of new things for the park, and you want it to compete with IOA and Universal, but you think that their pop price is too high. Well, I'd almost guarantee that their prices are higher than ours, so... Draw your own conclusion.
