platinum pass trouble at CP?

anyone else's pass not scan this weekend? they said renewals were having trouble.

There were numerous people at Guest Relations with this problem on Sunday. Many of them were less than happy.

When people pay $140 or more for a pass, they have a right to expect no-problem entry into other Cedar Fair parks...Hopefully this will be rectified soon.

Heck I have a gold pass and there has been to times it wouldn't scan at Kings Island. I had to go to the GR window and have it scan there and they let me in.

It's odd, during all the years I had a Paramount Parks pass, I never once had a problem with it scanning...until, that is, Carowinds tried the fingerprint scanning thing. That almost never worked. I am glad they dropped that...(plus, I never liked putting my hand down on a reader that had been touched by literally hundreds and hundreds of other people...GROSS!)

Now, after near flawless accepting of other parks' passes last summer, Cedar Point is having issues with Platinum Passes from other parks? This is not progress...

On opening day, many charity auction winners were advised their passes were for 2010, as were normal park goers. This, too, is not progress. If someone sold you a 2010 pass, that would seem to indicate the park has a problem.

Yes but last your you had to check in at the GR window to get in. At least I did at Cedar Point.

Now, if this were halfway through the season, that would be ridiculious. But, it was their opening weekend. Maybe it has something to do with the horrible quality of the KI passes? (my school ID is better quality...)

Ours worked last year as well. I don't buy the "opening weekend" excuse. There are people who are paid to make sure things like that don't happen. In my opinion, their boss should have some questions for them right about now.....

Mine worked fine. Although last year I processed at CP, and this year I processed at KI.
